"Kula Maya is definitely the highlight of San Marcos, having the most excellent views and a friendly staff. The town is very charming and much more enjoyable than some of the busier towns on other parts of the lake. The restaurant has great food and a nice high-end bar selection. Prices are quite a bit higher than anything in the area, but the atmosphere makes it very worth it. The rooms could have been better-sealed to keep wind and bugs out, but I guess it can't be perfect in an eco-friendly resort in paradise. Definitely worth staying here, highly recommend."

"Beautiful oasis of tranquility right in the heart of downtown. Rooms are big with quiet patios. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the surrounding blocks. The hotel has an exit directly to the docks where you can catch a boat to tour ghe rest of the lake. "
