"This hotel was overpriced and the website photos are deceiving. The outdoor pool was small and dirty as well as outdoor seating unclean. There was no drinking water in the rooms (tap water unsafe) and water bottles were $5. There was no one to greet us, check us in, or help with things to do on the island. The beach was dirty. Wi fi was great though. Overall disappointing. "
"A great place to stay on Isla Contadora! Staff and servers excellent especially Lilia & Carla hostess 👏 great communication with Jonathan on WhatsApp would definitely recommend GERALDs"
"Such a special place. The house is very modern, with endless screened porches, outdoor lounges, a private pool, very spacious interior. It felt very secluded; we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. A short walk down a cobblestone path brought us to the beach and “the hut” - a lovely French restaurant where we had dinner almost every night. There were lounge chairs on the beach, stand up paddle boards, snorkeling gear to borrow. Patrice was such a great host - he picked us up in a 4wheeler at...

A short walk down a cobblestone path brought us to the beach and “the hut” - a lovely French restaurant where we had dinner almost every night. There were lounge chairs on the beach, stand up paddle boards, snorkeling gear to borrow. Patrice was such a great host - he picked us up in a 4wheeler at the ferry dock and arranged boat tours for us, drove us through the village, marked trails to hike. He gave us a history of the island and translated as needed. Do be sure to bring a cooler with food. The village has some shops, but they are more like mini marts, better for snacks and drinks than a full grocery run. The house has a well appointed kitchen so it’s nice to be able to cook. No need to bring water, the island has fresh well water that doesn’t need additional filtering. I definitely hope to come back; this was an amazing trip. Great for our family but would also be really fun with multiple couples- the four rooms are well separated, with large bathrooms and porches, more like suites, and an extra bunk bed room. Also a ping pong table/ exercise room. Such a special family vacation; the photos really don’t do it justice. "
