"A really lovely homely house in lovely grounds. Very quiet and peaceful and the owners were friendly and accommodating. The location was lovely, however it was just a little remote from the resorts in the south of the island. All in all though it was a lovely week and the Isle of Man itself did not disappoint. We will be back!"

"This property is routed in the 1950's, unfortunately for the owner things have moved on since then. The property needs modernising to bring it up to modern-day standards. In the short term items which could be addressed are - 1) The wifi is none existant which is a shame as it would have been useful for planning days out. 2) The TV seems to have half the Freeview channels missing. 3) A shower would be much more preferable for a holiday cottage. 4) A large door mat in the conservatory would be...

"Overall a very nice house to stay in, although a lot of stairs. Everything worked as it should but the downstairs loung seemed cold with no apparent means of warming it up other than the log burner. The TV in that lounge is placed quite high on the wall leading to a spot on neck ache. The TV in the to bedroom has a remote control that I didnt manage figure out in the five days we were there. Being asked to put out the bin on the Friday was acceptable as that when they were collected but I do...

Excellent is an understatement

"I had an absolutely excellent stay at the Halvard Hotel in the Isle of Man! The hotel is newly refurbished, blending modern elegance with every comfort you could need. The rooms are equipped with sleek, contemporary amenities, and the walk-in shower was such a luxurious touch. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the wonderful staff. Lucas, Marianne, and Grace were incredible – always so helpful, attentive, and genuinely sweet. Their warmth and professionalism made the experience even more special. From the beautifully updated interiors to the impeccable service, the Halvard Hotel is a gem. I left with nothing but positive memories and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Man. Can’t wait to return!"

Best family hotel on the island?

"The best (family) hotel in the Isle of Man? We were on the island for a few days and wanted to cover as much as possible of the island. The location was perfect to cover north, south, west and eastern parts of the island. We got a connecting room and had some disturbance in the morning from the room next to us but the staff blocked it off after the guest checked out. Excellent service. Breakfast is somewhat basic but had everything you needed and a great scrambled egg. Big parking space, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice Christmas decoration which gave a nice ambiance. They even have an indoor pool included in the stay, and with option to add access to spa or have treatments. We had a great stay here. Thank you!"
