Spend an unforgettable day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and see its large collection of native Australian animals. Take the miniature steam train through forests and past lakes, hopping off at the different animal habitats in your own time.
Have a photo taken at the Koala Photo Studio, where the whole family can experience a hug from one of these adorable marsupials. Watch in awe from the safety of the viewing platform as huge saltwater crocodiles jump for food. Wander among kangaroos and wallabies while you handfeed them grass pellets.
Hear the eerie screech of the endangered Tasmanian devil and visit the enclosure to catch a rare glimpse of these usually shy animals. Get the best view of the animals by visiting at feeding times.
Take a seat at one of the entertainment shows. Gasp at the bird display as giant eagles swoop overhead and experience some of the region’s rich cultural history at the Aboriginal Dance Show when local Yugambeh culture is celebrated.
Visit the wildlife hospital where injured animals are brought for care before being released back into the wild. Watch the dedicated veterinary teams in action through observation windows.
Have an adventure with the Treetop Challenge, a zip-line obstacle course that takes you through the canopy in the safety of a harness. There is even an option to glide over the crocodile pools and dingo enclosures.
Entrance fees apply to the sanctuary. Tickets for shows and encounters can be bought online or at the front desk. Food and drink is available at one of three cafés offering both child and adult menus. Parking is available for a fee if you are arriving by private car. Alternatively, book a shuttle transfer between various locations on the Gold Coast.
