"The hotel was beautiful, loved the fire pits. Everyone was very helpful and we had a great stay. Our room had a lot of charm and bed was comfy. We were able to walk everywhere. I was a bit off put by the $26 +tip valet parking fee which I must have missed in the description. I would definately stay again but would park in the public lot nearby with a cheaper fee. "

"Very pleased with this hotel and the staff were great and friendly. My only complaint was the pool was disappointingly small - pretty much only usable with small children. Knowing the weather would be poor all weekend, the pool was our backup but not much of an option."

"I LOVE this place!! I’ve stayed many times over the years, and it’s such a lovely, quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. The property is gorgeous, with an enormous front porch and crazy lush gardens! The owners and staff are so very kind and accommodating. Not only are the rooms a PERFECT retreat, the property is nestled among the most gorgeous historic homes in downtown Wilmington. Walk just a few blocks to the waterfront and all of downtown! Awesome restaurants, coffee shops bars. "

"The rooms and property were very clean and well kept. They were in the process of doing updates, but we were not effected. The only issue I had with the stay was that the bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was hard and did not feel like a pillow top, as listed. Many may prefer this, but just in case, be aware that the mattress may be very firm."
