"This was an extremely clean well maintained suite. Our view of the fishing boats on the canal was interesting to watch from our deck. We used the heated pool and relaxed on the deck chairs every day! The hosts were very helpful in every way even giving us their own fan on a hot still day. We hope to be back next year for a longer stay."

"Once again, the accommodation was great as was the town of Barra"

" The apartment is only about 50 meters from the beach, so the sound of the waves coming in is very peaceful. The apartment is very poorly equipped. Only one pot and one pan to cook meals with. No cupboards, no dresser. Bed is very comfortable. Deck is very hot during the day, so not really useable. Pool on the roof was nice, as one could sit in it and watch the whales in the bay. Recommended, in spite of the inadequacies."

"Comfortable well equipped apartment. Rooftop pool and palapa great for reading and relaxing. So close to a variety of shops and restaurants!"

"Location of the home was within short walking distance to several good restaurants and not far from the centre of Barra, its beach and malecon. Home was secure, clean, beds were comfortable and small pool very welcome on warmer days. Some minor street noise at times was only a minor annoyance. Would stay again."

It is on the edge of town and has some industrial neighbours which made it very noisy. Happy folks are working hard but it is something to know about. "We just loved this spot! The layout of the property, our coffees on the deck area overlooking the property, Siegfried our host, just so many good things. The kitchen is equipped with the bare essentials. We didn’t cook at all there, so that wasn’t an issue. The bed was quite a bit different from what we are used to - more on the hard side. "This was our first visit to Barra and we will definitely be back! Able was very accommodating and the condo was in perfect shape. The location is in the heart of old town and walkable to the Malecon, water taxis and restaurants. It was fairly quiet as it was early in the season but we got to know the locals and everyone is so welcoming. It is a small community that support one another and we felt like a new neighbor. Thank you so much and we look forward to our next visit!"

"My brother and I stayed at Villa La Joya for three nights and enjoyed the entire time. The hosts bent over backwards to make us comfortable and even took the time to discuss life in Barra de Navidad and surrounding areas. The villa is beautifully appointed with lots of space for the two of us. The location was excellent, situated on a canal, but still close to the ocean. "We are four retired women and quite enjoyed our stay. On the plus side - property is very large and very private. Wifi and air conditioning work well and showers were hot in two bathrooms but not .The pool was clean and well maintained. While we have no major complaints about the beds - the bed linens and pillows were in very rough shape. Bathrooms were extremely tiny and there was only one working kitchen. Overall the property has good potential but needs some work. Would stay there again."

"We absolutely loved the resort mostly because of the staff. From the moment we arrived we were able to relax and enjoy. We would especially like to thank Gustavo at the pool for his amazing friendly service.The food was all excellent. We definitely will try to return in the future."

"Do to my lack of the spanish language; I was able to communicate effectively with the lady who checked us into our room. The main doors are locked between certain hours each night, and she showed us how we wohld be able to enter the building after that time. Complimentary coffee was available each morning at the front desk. Our room faced the street, so we were concerned about toad noise, but it was not too bad. There is a pool, but we did not have an opportunity to use it. I would not hesitate to recommended this hotel to anyone."
