Beautiful house / grounds for a big group!
We held our Friendsgiving at this house and loved every second of it. Beautiful, interesting home capable of housing a big group. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay again!

non-luxury 4 star property in great location with huge yard
Beth, the manager, is great but the property lacked a cottage room because of a wet carpet and a musty order that made it inhabitable (they did refund 10% thankfully). There was a leak in a shower drain on the second floor that must have caused a horrible smell in the TV room below because they used an unpleasant artificial fragrance to cover it up. This smell made the TV room unusable for the adults. The air conditioning was very inefficient during hot days in the mid to upper 80s. In general the lighting was dark. We gathered in the small sitting room with the vinyl record player where there was adequate light. There was an eclectic record collection that was appreciated by all. The kitchen was fine and all the beds were comfortable. Ignoring the routine maintenance issues that led to water leaks ,the property is 4 star in my opinion and not considered luxury.

Gorgeous property
This property was perfect for a group of ten 30 year old friends with plenty of room for more. We had two dogs with us and they loved waking up to the enormous yard every day. We had a small issue with the heat and hot water the first day but Beth was so quick to send someone to fix it and went out of her way to bring us baked goods as an apology. I was very impressed by how well kept this house was and how much the management/owner cares about pleasing the tenants. It was pretty much fully stocked, we never had to buy any toilet paper or any cleaning supplies etc. Overall so satisfied with the stay and would absolutely book again.

Beautiful home in picturesque setting!
We had a lovely weekend at Eugene's property. The front yard is perfect for chilling and games. The fireplace in the living room keeps everyone warm and is a great gathering space. One watch out is that if you have dogs, ticks are prevalent so keep an eye on them, but that is just nature. Overall, highly reccomend. Each room provides a nice oasis for couples but good public gathering spaces.

Disappointing
This property has incredible potential but is poorly maintained. It isn't. We arrived to find the dishwasher gone and the kitchen was without hot water. Although we had been told the dishwasher would be replaced, it never was and there was never hot water in the kitchen. Beth did deliver paper products--plates, cups, bowls--but we were cooking for as many as nine people which requires pots, pans, and silverware. I'm not sure how the kitchen was cleaned after we left, because after eight days there still was no dishwasher or hot water. It's such a beautiful house on amazing groups, but the kitchen needs to be reappointed. It's an ICU of barely operating kitchen appliances. Bring your own coffee pot! Someone needs to go through the drawers and cabinets and throw out the junk. Some of the bedrooms smell heavily of mildew and many of the windows could not be opened, so we couldn't air out the house at night when it got cooler outside. Beth did refund 10% of our fee, but we understood that refund would be predicated on eventually getting a functioning kitchen. Yes, Covid complicates things, but this is a costly rental with expectations that the bare minimum of a functioning kitchen, especially at the time of Covid, would be provided.

Best Weekend Ever!
I cannot say enough about my experience. From start to finish, everything went better than I could have imagined. The property manager Beth was amazing. So sweet! Very accommodating and responsive. We rented this property to have an intimate wedding ceremony with my (now) husband and our 7 children. I was looking for something rustic, vintage... historic. And that is exactly what I got. The quality time we got to spend as a family was priceless. There is a game/media room, but we never even turned on the tv. We played frisbee in the front yard, and spent our nights sitting around the dining room table enjoying the games from the library. We cooked and ate together (there is a Hannafords less than 10 minutes away so very convenient). Laid in the hammocks and sat by the pond watching the fish. We even saw a crayfish in there! The grounds were beautiful with the trees in new bloom, and I could not think of a better place to start our new life together.

Great weekend
Beth was very responsive with communication. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our long girls weekend! I would only say for a house that slept that many people there was not enough stuff in the kitchen.

Family Getaway
our family of 15 found the barn lovely. Centrally located for activities. Plenty of hideaway spaces for private moments. Beth very responsive to questions. Great lawn and pond area for some exploring as well as nearness to walking hiking areas. Only suggestion kitchen area could be organized a bit better.

group getaway
The barn is huge and comfortably accommodated 11 adult and two children. There are lots of bedrooms and privacy. The grounds are beautiful. Although the barn is very large the common areas are spread out and on the smaller side. The kitchen is tight if you are a large group that enjoys cooking.

Beautiful property
The house is so unique and the property is really special. The pond is not for swimming, but it did have fun animals to visit - frogs, snakes, and fish! The house is very old and quirky. The kitchen and outdoor dining area needed a bit more cleaning, but the rest of the house was clean. Overall, it's a beautiful property.

A magical retreat!
We enjoyed this home over New Years weekend and had a wonderful time. The grounds are sweeping and well-maintained, and the house is perfectly appointed, clean, and full of charm. Our party of 11 had plenty of room to spread out and relax, but also come together for dinner and games in front of the fireplace. Beth was available to answer any questions and helped make our stay a seamless one. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful weekend retreat for groups
From the moment of arrival you will be blown away by the beautiful house. Sweeping up the drive you have a full view of the front of the house which sets the tone for what you will find inside. The house is clean and extremely comfortable with ample space to decide if you want to stay with the group in front of the giant fire or if you want to snuggle your self away in the library balcony area (my favourite location in the house). Not to mention the private area by my bedroom in the tower that I could also seclude myself away. The kitchen is fully equipped and very comfortable to cook in. With a dishwasher the cleanup is a breeze. Make sure you look around in the dining room for extra bowls and plates for serving. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were which is the most important thing for me when I go to visit somewhere for a weekend. The design throughout the house is cute and personal with each area telling you a story. The decor of the house with the wooden design is beautiful and the brick floors are stunning. One thing I was concerned about that was unnecessary was how warm the house was going to be. The house was lovely and warm with easily controlled tempature control throughout. We visited in March when there was still snow on the ground but this didn’t stop us from walking through the grounds enjoying the view of the Catskills Mountains and of course the tyre swing which in my opinion just gets better with age. I will defiantly be back in the summer to make use of the outdoor seating and dining areas which I would have braved but my companions were not as brave. There is a wonderful local guide provided by the hosts stuck to the fridge. This guide was wonderful and as a group we split up and tried multiple areas. The local town of Hudson is beautiful and an antique lovers dream come true. There is a cute diner from the 1940’s less than 5 minutes away that is great if you aren’t feeling the breakfast cooking vibe. WiFi is also provided in the house should you decide to stay in contact with the outside world.

Absolutely lovely, soul- enriching experience
The house is simply amazing as a getaway from busy city lives- its enchanting wooden treehouse-like insides, beautiful grounds and a location close to lovely upstate New York towns creates a perfect atmosphere of calm and serenity. It is large but feels absolutely cozy and homely. I spent an amazing weekend there with a group of friends, who all had a wonderful time. We cooked our own food in the well-equipped kitchen, lounged and played games in the living room next to a real fireplace and had walks in a nearby forest. Overall, I recommend this house to anyone who wants to feel the comforts of home but be away from the crazy city life- this place brings joy and peace!

Absolutely stunning, peaceful retreat
The house is such a beautiful setting to get away from the noise of the city. Plenty of space for a group to spend some quality time together, explore nature, or see the sights in the area. Very convenient for getting a bit of skiing in while you're there too.

Beautiful Space to be in.
Great location for us as we celebrated our son's wedding at The Farm at Pond Lily. The house and grounds are beautiful. The house has plenty of nooks and cranny's so that you can get away even with a large group of people. We had about 13 people staying there and hosted the rehearsal dinner there, so we put the house to good use. The house manager Beth was very helpful and available to us. Thank You Beth!

Lots of Room, Unique Home
We filled this house with fun for a long weekend near a wedding. One of our party described it well - it's like a tree house for adults. A/C in the bedrooms was essential and worked well, and there were fans to accommodate those areas without A/C. Good showers and space for everything. Beth was very helpful and made it convenient for many people arriving at various times. The house has many different levels - steps up to the dining room, down to kitchen, etc., making this home ideal for adults and teens, not persons with disabilities. The washer did not fill with cold water, so we filled with buckets of cold water, and had to manually forward the cycle. Otherwise - we had a good experience here.

Charm, Charm, Charm!!
We had an amazing stay at Blue Sky Barn!! The farmhouse is filled with historic character (as you can see in the pictures), yet well maintained and up to date. We spent the first day there oohing and aahing over every architectural detail, and the description is quite accurate. The home is far more spacious than we expected, and the layout is truly ideal for group get-togethers as it comfortably accommodates entertaining larger groups while affording each couple privacy as the sleeping quarters are spread out through the farmhouse. There are spacious, well-tended grounds that are great for children to run around; our daughter loved playing on a wooden swing set and picking herbs from the garden for her omelets. The town of Hudson was a short drive away with great restaurants and cute shopping, and this is a great place to stay whether you are looking to explore Hudson and the valley or whether you just want a fantastic getaway.

Charming and beautiful
I spent a weekend here and it was great. The house is beautiful and has a ton of character since it is an old barn that's been redone. The grounds are lovely and there's even a little pond. It's the perfect getaway from the city.
