"We were driving from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and chose this hotel from Expedia’s site on a Friday because it had onsite parking and a restaurant. After checking in the receptionist told us (a) the hotel’s parking area was not safe so we should not leave any bags in the car and (b) the restaurant was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday ! We couldn’t get a refund but we found another hotel a few kms away with a secure parking lot and two restaurants, so we relocated. "

I wasn't able to confirm any details by calling the property because of a language barrier but that didn't bother me because my wife is French and speaks natively. "The interior of the hotel is a bit tired, but the reception chap who welcomed us and took both our heavy bags upstairs two flights was great. Thank you! Comfortable bed, good breakfast and an absolutely fabulous location, though parking can be a bit difficult when it's busy."
