"Property manager was so kind"

"Love how everything was right there in the hotel. We added the breakfast buffet to our stay and it was well worth it. Food was actually good. Skip the corn dogs, those were trash. Pizza was super good and decently priced. Wolf pack for the kids was a great deal. They were able to do the magi experience, which was cool. Build a bear which was a nice souvenir for the kids to take home. The candy cup was trash, not much to choose from but the kids were happy with it. The mining for rocks was a decent activity for the kids. Overall 7/10, a nice experience but going multiple times would probably be a waste of time and money unless you just stick to the water aspect of the trip. We went in February, so only indoor activities were open."

"This is a super cute property and the rate was very reasonable. Looking through their guidebook I could see that their ownership or management company is offering a great product and I am sure all their properties are fun and adorable. The property itself was great. The only reason we haven’t booked here again, in our subsequent trips to Ocean Shores, is that the communication was not good with the initial contact when we booked our room. We book via Expedia often and have never run into quite this situation, but after paying when we were on our way to the town but a few hours away still, they called me and said that they needed a deposit because my card was a “pay card” and not a traditional credit card. I didn’t have the money for the deposit and it wasn’t mentioned on Expedia when I booked. I was offended during the exchange when the person said “I bet you don’t even work for that company you are just a contractor” and I asked him to cancel but he said he couldn’t because they had already collected the money and he ended up accepting a lesser deposit and we ended up coming anyway. I understand they are concerned about protecting their investment, but he made what should have been a fun little romantic getaway on the cheap into a stressful trip because he wouldn’t cancel the reservation and he took all the money I had set aside for food in the deposit and sucked all the fun out of it. Such a shame bc it’s a really cute place. "

"We enjoyed our stay this time, as always. Our plans kept changing because of disruptions in our schedule but the front desk associate was flexible and helpful and was able to accommodate our dynamic schedule. It is also a lovely building, more reminiscent of a European or Middle Eastern hotel than the mom and pop beachside motels and hotels one usually finds in little ocean side cities. Dare I say it’s the best of both worlds? I highly recommend upgrading to an ocean view room, since the rates are very fair and reasonable. "

"It's always a pleasure to stay at the Canterbury Inn. The first-floor studio offers easy access to the outdoors that Rainy (the dog) loves. We love the kitchenette's convenience and the special consideration for the four-legged family member (dog towels, dog bowls, dog blankets, and a dog cookie). Finishing up the night with local Thai curry and a warm room is the perfect way to finish an ocean adventure in February. "
