Secluded Log Cabin for Two in La Grange TX

Welcome to our charming 1 bedroom log cabin. Conveniently located a short drive south of La Grange this is a great location from which to enjoy Round Top, Festival Hill, the Round Top/Warrenton antique show, the Painted Churches,La Grange's courthouse and square, the Texas Quilt Museum, Czech Heritage Center, Monument Hill, and the Bugle Boy.

The cabin sleeps 2 in a queen size bed. A twin air mattresses is available for an additional guest. Satellite TV and WIFI are provided.

The kitchen includes a Kuerig coffee maker (coffee included), small full size refrigerator, 2-burner cook top, microwave, and toaster oven. The bath room has a shower. Outside there is a gas grill and picnic table outside.

Pets are allowed but must not be left alone in the cabin. We are pet friendly

Perfect place to recharge
My children went on a trip with their mother and I wanted a quick getaway to ride my bicycle in the area (Bastrop to Smithville) and get some hills in my ride. It was perfect spot to be based from and convenient to local sites as well. M&M (Mike & Maxine) were great hosts. Very clean and historical Cabin. The inside is very modern. And the a/c is extremely cooling. Especially in hot Texas summer and a day of riding. Was able to take a nap and wake up to deer outside the porch. I imagine It’s perfect for solo and couples traveling.

Just what was needed. This place is awesome for our trip to Smithville , Fayetteville , Carmine and Paige lots of antique hunting . The host Mike greeted us on the 1st day showed us everyone. This had all the amenities you need soaps , shampoo , botteled water and my wife loved the luxurious towels. Your morning coffee on the porch you had the company of deer , turkey , squirrels visiting the feeder set up close by . Definitely would be a place to go back too.

Absolutely fantastic !!
Even growing up in a rural gorgeous community, the experience of LaGrange will stay in my heart. Would love to live there or in the area.. Mike was so kind as well as a joy to talk with. Loved going about his property and then our forays in town at antique shops as well as the museum. Hiking/walking trails. Well honestly..was all memorable indeed.

Traveled from Houston for a weekend getaway and it was exactly what we needed. Far enough from the city yet close enough to any needs. We stopped in La Grange for groceries before getting to the cabin so we didn’t have to leave during our stay. The cabin has a small kitchenette that has everything you need for cooking (even an outside grill). The place was clean, cozy and quiet. We got to see the deer which was a great view. Mike was very nice and available if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend 👍

Beautiful area! Wonderful hosts! Cute and comfortable cabin! Would definitely go back. Our first trip to Round Top Antique events and this was a very convenient place to stay. Just picked it online from the pictures and reviews and so glad we did.

Loved the cabin. So unique. Mike was very helpful in loading and unloading my car. He went over how everything in the cabin worked which was very helpful during our stay. Sitting on the porch and watching the deer was wonderful. First time in the country for my pug and he loved it! He's still recooperating. Would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay. Sitting out on the front porch and watching the deer and the countryside was a wonderful way to spend the morning and afternoon. The only and I mean the only tiny problem was the rocky driveway - but that was only a short drive.

We loved this beautiful, immaculate, comfortable, thoughtfully appointed cabin. Mike and Maxine were very welcoming to us and our 2 English Setters but gave us plenty of privacy. Loved watching the deer, longhorns and birds and walking the little trail through the woods. My favorite part is the incredible view of brilliant stars. Met a friend at the Texas Quilt Museum. A beautifully restored historic building with adjacent garden and stunning contemporary quilts. We brought our food and cooked dinners on the grass grill. Plenty of equipment, condiments, etc. Nice kitchen. We will be back!

Third time stay. Third time good experience.
Our third stay in this cabin. Small and very nice cabin. Just the right size for my wife and myself (and our dog). We enjoy the area to explore, shop and relax, as well as just enjoying the property when we are not out and around. Plus it’s a short drive for us to spend the weekend away from home with little travel time. I’m sure we will return when we are ready again for another weekend getaway.

Peaceful getaway
The cabin was very well stocked and very clean. The location was perfect for a quiet peaceful stay. We walked around the property with our dogs and the dogs also loved exploring. Just a short drive to La Grange. We didn't get to see much in the town because the day we arranged for that a "winter storm" shut down everything. Las Fuentes has great food. We also visited many of painted churches. The gas grill worked great. Good TV reception, comfortable warm beds, furnace worked great, plenty of hot water for showers. Enjoyed the information flyer for attractions and the book on the area and cabin. Nice visiting with Mike as well.
