Along with a great location, you'll enjoy private home comforts including a double-level deck complete with a gas grill, and two separate living areas inside, each equipped with its own fireplace. Groceries, retail shops, and dining options can be found within a mile of the home along Academy Boulevard. The trails at Palmer Park are also just a mile away. Garden of the Gods is eight miles from home and Manitou Springs is within 15 miles of home. The summit of Pikes Peak is less than 40 miles from your front door.

Whatever adventure your stay brings, the home comes well-appointed for rest and relaxation. Fire up the grill for summertime barbecues in the backyard, or cozy up around either of the fireplaces in the upper or lower living room to enjoy toasty winter-weather comfort. A large, updated smart TV is equipped for streaming all your favorite shows and movies. The stainless steel kitchen comes well-equipped for family-style meal prep. Primary guests will enjoy the extra indulgence of the large, jetted soaking tub in their private en suite bathroom. Additional features include thermostat-controlled central heating and air conditioning, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer. There is also an iron and ironing board provided for added convenience.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Just like home...
This was our 2nd time to stay here over Christmas. We enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, spacious living and dining room, and beautiful yard for the dog! The neighborhood is very nice, just down the street from King Sooper and central to everything in the Springs. Very clean and well maintained!

NO A/C and terrible customer service
If you are thinking of booking this in the summer. DON'T!! We arrived to the location and upon walking it was 87 degrees in the home. They claim the house had partial AC but the window unit that's in the back living room(there were two sitting areas) did not work as it was blowing hot air and the bedrooms are on the opposite end of the home. We attempted to turn on all the provided fans and still the temperature did not come down after 2 hours. We called the "emergency" after hours line and they told us they would call us back to see if they could switch our VRBO unit to a different one that had AC as I had my elderly parents with me as well as my small child. NOT A 5 STAR RENTAL! They never called back like they said they would in 30 min so I called back after 1 hour. They said there were no available units nearby and so I asked for a refund as we needed to stay somewhere with AC. They proceeded to tell me they weren't going to refund us either. Needless to say they were the LEAST bit helpful. To top it off it didn't appear that they maintained the outside as the grass was a half foot tall and there were piles of garbage bags full of grass clippings that smelt absolutely terrible on the side of the home. When I told them this they said to open our windows to let it cool off inside, when we did we could smell the grass clippings inside the home. I will NEVER work with this company again and I don't recommend you do either unless you want to experience anything like this.

Nana's place
Apparently, Nana died and left her heirs this house. However, no one has yet bothered to move out any of her furniture, jewelry, wall art, nail polish, or prescriptions. Sadly, Nana must not have owned a lawn mower to bequeath to her heirs because the lawn was so high that our 16-pound dog couldn’t do his business without his poop or pee landing on his head. He took one look at the yard and must have thought he was starring in the dog version of a Jumanji film. I guess Nana didn’t have a vacuum either because there was trash on every floor surface. We even found pills on the bathroom floor which, thankfully, our dog didn’t find first. If you want to watch the nice big 60+ inch TV in the main living space, good luck hearing it. The blowing fans (not central AC) are so loud you can’t even hear them scream “Good answer!” on Family Feud. We were instructed to take the trash to the curb for next day pickup, so my husband went out to find one can marked “recycling only” and two other crumbling trash cans that were already full of putrid smelling trash that contained Halloween-themed items. Mind you, we rented the place in July. On the positive side, Nana has a nice, big, updated bathroom downstairs with handles on the toilet in case you have trouble standing from the sitting position. Nana would not be proud.

Overall house was spacious and comfortable. There were a few non working items the first morning but someone came to fix the issues. No central air so the house was hot inside (80 or above) from late morning to around 7 or 8 PM when we could open windows and let cooler outdoor air through. We also requested an extra fan.

The house was perfect. My 88 year old mother and 16 year old granddaughter loved the house, too. It was by far one of the nicest houses I’ve stayed at and I hope it will be available for all of my future trips to Colorado Springs.
