"This Inn was a pleasant surprise. It is situated on the Lewis River, with a small garden and path for viewing. It is dog friendly, even providing dog bowl and small bed. It was quiet convenient, and well maintained. Rooms were in the process of being updated, but we heard none of the work. Breakfast was simple and plentiful. The staff was kind and efficient. We feel we got more than our monies worth. "

"This is my second stay at the Clatskanie River Inn. I happened by this place on a vacation last summer and when I ended up on a business trip to this same small town, I knew where to stay! The place is simple, the people are friendly, things are spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is pretty nice. The ONLY downside I have is that with staying there a week, there wasn't bacon every day for breakfast ;-). I appreciated the egg casseroles that were served every day, but I would really have liked having an option to not have to have hash browns or anything mixed in my eggs as well as having a meat choice to go with it. I'm a heavy protein eater for breakfast and it was hard to keep the carbs out of my meal. But that was really minor within the grand scheme of things in a great hotel!"
