"It's a vibe! Even before you walk in, you travel back in time. When we ooened the door, we were greeted with the sounds of the jazz band. Many guests and Cedar Falls folks were quietly enjoying the music in the lobby and bar rooms. Oh, and please keep the voucher system for breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed the small businesses that served breakfast. We will definitely be back!!"
"Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay. Nice location on a quaint midwest small town main street. Lots of activity in the stores and on the street. Many close by eating and drinking establishments in walking distance. Feels like a safe environment. Check in was a breeze. Very pleasant staff. The hotel feels large: wide hallways, large lobby and breakfast area. Elevator lobby was huge, almost excessive but definitely not a complaint. I'm a retired firefighter so l notice modern alarm...
"The room and staff were warm and cordial Easy access to the highway , close to a decent bar and grill just what we needed for a break in the drive. Breakfast wasn’t restaurant quality but more variety than I’d have at home so no point deduction. "
"We enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay that was more affordable than other choices in Waverly.
Buscuits and gravy would be a nice addition to their breakfast choices.
A repeat customer."
"Staff was very helpful in grouping our family together. We especially enjoyed the use of the large common room by th 13 grandhildren (and some adults, and great grand children too). Only problem with the facilities was that our toilet was clogged when we first checked in. The staff unclogged it quickly but it left my germophobic wife uncomfortable with the facility for the remainder of our 3 night stay. "

The hotel feels large: wide hallways, large lobby and breakfast area. Elevator lobby was huge, almost excessive but definitely not a complaint. I'm a retired firefighter so l notice modern alarm systems and especially the fire sprinklers. For us the room was quiet but others in our group complained about the noise from nearby railroad interfering with sleep. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Nice tv but finding a channel was confusing. Was looking for "normal" television networks but the were difficult to find. Wanted CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, FOX, etc. Appeared to be some streaming channels but I grew frustrated and gave up on the tv. Plenty of usb ports and electrical outlets for devices. There was some funky looking black stuff around and air duct on the wall near the ceiling. I also noticed what appeared to be stain and dripping from a leak in ceiling in breakfast eating area. But- we will stay here again if ever in Cedar Falls."
