The positives were 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 2 refrigerators (one by the pool), ice machine, lots of seating on outside porches, large pier w/motorized lift platform to get in and out of the water, luckily a backup generator (we had a bad storm while we were there), pool is shallow and great for water walking, beautiful views from the inside and outside, great crab traps, very safe fire pit, most well equipped...

"The house is older than it appears in the pictures but that just adds to the charm. It was convenient enough to Tappahanock that we ordered dinner and picked it up each night. The kitchen could use flat baking sheets but everything else was available. The king-sized bed in the master room was very comfortable. "My daughter was married 10 mins down the road at Antebellum. Her and her bridal party all stayed here. My girlfriends feel this is also a perfect place for a girls weekend. The host was very responsive and helpful. This place is Gorgeous!"

"The Red Juniper Retreat was a great find. We were in New Kent for the weekend of the Virginia Derby. The house is located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood that is only 6 miles from Colonial Downs. The booking and all communication with Jazmin was top notch. She was very responsive and has literally thought of everything, from the welcome basket with the snacks, smore making kit and a bottle of wine, to all of the amenities for our dogs—beds, bowls, waste bags, gloves and a beautiful fenced...

"I think this was our 5th or 6th Valentine's Day week stay. It was wonderful, as always. Cozy little house, comfy bed, fabulous bathroom, fantastic hot tub. A good place to settle in and take a break. The views are amazing. We had kind of crappy weather, but it's a nice place to snuggle in warmly when it's cold and rainy/snowy out. The fireplaces available at the push of a button make things homey and romantic."
