I spent in little over 24 hours in Chiang Mai; and wanted to stay in a more "homely" environment rather than and large scale establishment. So, I chose this. From the photos on hotels.com, it looked promising. For that price, it was a no-brainer.
So, in real life, close to the airport, easy access. Very resident feel, from check-in to rooms and gardens. I rented a motorbike. There was a renter just outside on the main road, 5 min walk away. So getting in and out, moving about was not an issue. Old town is about a 10 min ride away. Night market, 5 min away. Room is clean, staff are helpful, and breakfast was good. My partner says the bed was a tad hard, but I did not feel it - too tired so just knocked off.
I'll recommend here, especially if you are mobile with your own transport, and want to be away from too much hustle bustle of old town.
