The Celebrity Car Museum holds a fascinating collection of more than 100 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. The displays are constantly changing, as the owners trade cars and purchase automobiles that are either replicas or were actually used in movie franchises such as The Fast and the Furious and Transformers. Make your way around the circuit to pick out the vehicles that appeared in your favorite movies.
Check out the yellow-and-green Jurassic Park Ford Explorer that was used in the movie to get around a park teeming with giant reptiles. For a sense of scale, the car stands between life-size models of dinosaurs.
See the shiny black Batmobile from 1966 and study the inner workings of the prehistoric car from The Flintstones. Other highlights that have graced the ever-changing museum displays include the Mystery Machine van from the Scooby Doo movies, the DeLorean from the Back to the Future franchise and a limousine in which Jackie Kennedy rode. Many of the cars are for sale.
Check the schedule online and attend a road show or convention in cities across the United States. The museum was set up in 2012 by the Velvet family. These avid collectors have other car museums in Tennessee and Florida.
There is a fee to enter the museum ask for a discount for kids between five and 13. Children under four can come to the site for free. Note that the museum opens daily from morning until late evening.
The Celebrity Car Museum is located on the eastern edge of the Branson Theater District. Walk west from the center of the downtown Branson zone for about 2 miles (3 kilometers) to get here in roughly 45 minutes.
