At the center of St. Maarten’s main entertainment precinct stands the largest casino on the island. Casino Royale features more than 20 gaming tables spread out over an area of 21,000 square feet (6,400 square meters). Late opening hours, a range of bars, clubs and restaurants and a theater make Casino Royale and its complex one of the most popular places on the island after dark. Visit to unwind once the sun goes down.
In the huge casino, gambling is the primary attraction. Just watch the other participants or try your hand at one of the many tables. Make use of the low-limit tables to avoid getting carried away and losing all your vacation savings. A high-rollers room caters to those with a bit more experience and more money to spend. If you are feeling lucky, play roulette or black jack or choose from four different kinds of poker. A local favorite is Caribbean Poker.
If gambling doesn’t appeal to you or if you have made a profit and want to quit while you are ahead, shop at one of the countless boutiques and fashion outlets, in the complex. Many offer duty-free shopping, so the prices are attractive.
Grab a drink at one of the many bars in the larger Maho Village complex, a popular resort, or head to a restaurant for international cuisine. Japanese, Thai and French restaurants are among the most popular, and nice local specialties are also available. The in-house 750-seat theater offers a chance to watch a show after your meal. Have a fun end to your night dancing to international DJs at the Tantra Nightclub within the casino complex.
Casino Royale is located within the Maho Village resort and entertainment center on Maho Beach and can be reached by car from most parts of the island. Off-street parking is available for a fee. The casino is open daily and there is no admission price.
