"The staff we’re very friendly. We booked a Deluxe room but it felt quite basic and water from the shower went all over the bathroom. Termites were eating the beams in the ceiling and wood was falling onto the bed. When we told them at the front desk, they didn’t hesitate in rectifying the situation and changed our room. The next room was of a much better condition and this one felt deluxe. "

"We stayed here last year and were happy to return. We booked one of the 3 bungalows in the owners garden. The bungalows are basic but comfortable with plenty of wildlife - raccoons and monkeys visit most days and humming birds everyday. To sunbathe you need to visit the National Park (a small donation required) which is 3 min. away and has wonderful beaches and walks through the rain forest - watch your bags as the animals will try and steal any food in them. "Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. "The place is ok, a little over rated in my opinion. One has to get out of the car to open gate to get into a small parking space. They woke me up early on Sunday morning to move my car, cause I was the last one in the parking space last night and someone wanted to leave, so I had to get up to move my car. They were very rude about it. So parking is an issue, as it was raining hard and had to get out to open and close gate also."

"The staff here is absolutely incredible! Everyone was so helpful and kind. Definitely want to give a shout out to Jessica and Timateo who were amazing! The breakfast was great. Lunches and dinners were delicious. They have a beautiful area to dine in, multiple bars, cool fire pit, lots of little nooks and crannies to chill in, and they are right on the beach, you can order right from the beach and receive your food and drinks without leaving Paradise, which is absolutely phenomenal. Definitely worth the stay, will be back next time I'm in Costa Rica."
