Our first stay at Rock Laurel B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Joe and Judy are excellent hosts and it was like we had been friends for years. The food (breakfasts) were also excellent and there was plenty of it. We also enjoyed the experience of having breakfast with the other guests at the B&B. We hope to to there again sometime.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The house was situated back in the woods right by a stream. There were all sorts of wonderful spring time smells not the least of which was breakfast which was as good tasting as it was large. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone that asks.

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in.
Location and setting of this B&B is beautiful. Close to the Blue Ridge parkway, to the Biltmore estate, to Asheville and to the Smokey Mountains. Very secluded at the end of a small road. One of the best things about this B&B were the hosts, Joe and Jenny, very hospitable and nice people who took care of us in the morning with an excellent breakfast and at night with a cheese platter and wine. And when we left we got a signed copy of Joe's novel: "My cup runneth over". There is so much more to say but it is better to just stay there and experience their hospitality!

Lovely B&B near Asheville
Judy and Joe were warm and welcoming hosts and made sure we were comfortable throughout our short one-night stay. Their bed and breakfast has all the amenities one would need and is very convenient to Asheville, Biltmore and the Pisgah area. We booked the green room, and it had everything we needed, including a very comfortable king size bed! We had the most delicious breakfast in the morning (the Belgian waffles were heavenly). We plan on staying with them again the next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!

Relaxing visit; felt at home with Judy and Joe
For the price of a decent hotel, you can stay in a relaxing, secluded setting that features a full breakfast and wine (and conversation) in the evening. Hosts Judy and Joe make you feel right at home the minute you step in the front door and are gracious hosts.

Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast
This was the first time my wife and I stayed at a bed and breakfast. We are both glad we picked this family owned business. It is in a great location in the outskirts of Asheville, not too far from our travel destination. Wonderful hospitality from owners. We will definitely be back in the summer.

Top Notch B & B
Joe and Judy were very welcoming, friendly, and personable. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The complimentary carafe of wine in the evening was generous. My favorite thing about this B & B was the location next to a mountain stream. Truly a relaxing getaway. We will be back for sure!

Tucked away in the woods, next to a creek.
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, Joe and Judy greeted us and treated us like family. They were wonderful. The breakfasts, the hospitality, the room, the gorgeous views, made for one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. The breakfast will keep you full until way past lunch. If you have to leave early for something, they will pack you a breakfast to go. We will stay here again.

Great time...Great Food
Asheville is a great city and the Rock Laurel just added to the fun we had.... Breakfast was out this world. The best stay we have ever had because of the conversations with the owners and the breakfast. For the price it's hard to beat.

20th Wedding Anniversary at Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast
My husband and I have stayed at the Rock Laurel Bed and Breakfast two times so far and are planning another. The first time was in December 2012, the most recent was in May 2014 for our Anniversary. Both were truly a phenomenal experience. We stayed in their Biltmore Suite, which is up on the second floor and has a private entrance, with a private patio, a rushing creek and beautiful, peaceful scenery abound. At night we actually left the door and windows wide open! Can't do that in the City! And, it was wonderful! The bed is amazingly soft. My husband kept calling it the Mamma Bear's bed because it was so soft. Room comes with a Jacuzzi tub, perfect for two! The heart of the Rock Laurel is the PEOPLE who run it, which is true for any Bed and Breakfast, to be honest. We have stayed in quite a few, but the Rock Laurel is our favorite, mainly due to the warmth of its owners, Joe and Judy. From the first greeting and the bottle of wine they gave us to take to our room to the hugs goodbye, they radiate a warmth that makes anyone feel right at home. They have both lived interesting lives. Judy is a very special lady with a talent in the kitchen. This woman has a lot of heart and soul and it oozes through everything she touches and says. She is simply AMAZING!! LOVE HER!! The breakfasts she prepares are out of this world. From the lime sprinkled melon to the cheese grits and eggs, it all tastes so good. One of the best things about the Rock Laurel is the breakfasts. (The breakfast at a B&B should be as memorable as its Hosts!! It is all about the experience!) That is certainly the case at the Rock Laurel. This couple KNOWS what they are doing and exactly how it should be done!! KUDOS!! Other inn owners should take note. :)

So cute!
Joe and Judy were the perfect hosts. We had a wonderful stay and were welcomed with open arms. Joes has interesting life stories, which he is more than willing to share over breakfast. The breakfast was quite delicious. The little babbling brook to the side of the house was so charming. The only thing that we found was the sheets had a couple of stains, and they were happy to change the linens. Overall, I would return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent Stay
This was our first time staying at the Rock Laurel Bed & Breakfast. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to the morning we checked out. Judy and Joe are great hosts and know how to make their guests feel at home. The breakfast was something to write home about. We didn't eat the rest of the day. Judy's homemade buscuits are delicious. We surely will return. Sincerely, E & P
