Our stay was a flash to the past, to the late '60s & early '70s. Casa Carcol isn't for everyone,, but if you want to experience (or relive) the hippie revolution, sans drugs, it is a trip. Funky, warm, friendly, and full of joyous camaraderie with folks of all ages, from all over the world.
You have the opportunity to share meals (and step in and cook if you have a mind to), stories, make new friends and plans, with a background of great music, changed to suit the mood of the gatherings, sit around a warm fire on a cold evening.
It is hostel style, with private rooms to dorms with bunk beds, and shared baths (there are seven, so pick the one you like best),
If you are the adventetous type, and you want a fun experience, not just an off-the-rack bedroom, and located in the heart of Cadiz Cuidad Antigua, it's a perfect flop!
We were there over Christmas, and we felt like we were amongst family ... well, except for that French guy, but you know ...
