"Came up from Ft Worth to enjoy a long weekend and ride the trails. The cabin was really cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The upstairs was a little concerning with an 18 month old but we managed. He definitely loved the large porch and all the toys to play with. "

"Just stunning... loved the view, hiking trails, kayaking on the river. Cabin was cozy and deck was awesome. Beware lots of stairs to climb down and up from the river. Built camp fires in the fire pits on top by the cabin and down by the river. Just perfect for the cool weather at night. Love love love!!"

"We made a last minute trip up to Arkansas to go crystal mining. This place was great. Beautiful location right on the river and an easy drive into Mt. Ida or Hot Springs. Place has everything you need: oven, stove, microwave and coffee maker (the most important!). WiFi was a bit spotty, which was fine by me, but my 14 year old was less than thrilled. The space itself was small, but not ridiculously so. Hosts were great. Would stay again!"

"We were so looking forward to our stay at Lazy Trout and overall we had a good time! A few little hiccups that Cory was very quick to address. Cabin cleanliness:10/10 Communication w/host:10/10 Safety/functionality of Cabin for young kiddos: 5/10 (1. the staircase is completely open to the living room w/handrail only on the wall side. And no landing rail so no ability to put a baby gate up. This was an over-site on my part as there are photos of the stairway, but I just didn’t look close...

"This was an amazing place to stay to get away from noise. There are several cabins near this one but still plenty of space to have peace and quiet. Cabin was perfect for our group. Nicely furnished and comfortable! We can’t wait to stay here again! Only thing to consider was that on the last day of our stay there must have been a dam release because the water in the river went from perfectly clear and gorgeous to extremely cloudy and a bit smelly. "This home and property is exactly what we needed. Walking the property with the fall colored leaves on the ground and in the trees was beautiful. Sitting on the deck and the only sound you hear is the birds and the sound of the river passing by. My sister fished off the deck and caught catfish.
