"The property is very nice, the pool is superb however they close it very early at 7 pm but I understand they may want to prevent noise for the tenants facing the pool. The staff in general was nice, but a few were a little annoyed by questions. You need a car I will not walk outside the property since it is a main road. "The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

What could improve a longer stay (like ours) is more food options for the evening (more casual dining options too), clearer roles for staff serving in the restaurant (some confusion there), and a heated outside spa pool.
