"My husband and I stayed here on a day we went to Achill Island. We only stayed one night here. They have a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, you do have to make a reservation but we were able to easily make a reservation when we arrived to the hotel. We are in the bar area and the food was very good. The view was beautiful. At night our room got pretty chilly and we weren’t able to figure out how to turn the heat up but we were okay. In the morning we decided to sleep in and missed the complimentary breakfast from 8-10. We did however get a pot of coffee to share a little after 10 which was perfect. The showers were very nice and they do provide a shampoo/body wash combination but did not provide conditioner in the room, this was not a big deal for us as I had some of my own. Overall this is a nice hotel and I would go back and stay again. "

"We’ve eaten often but never stayed. Sunday nights are quiet so a better price than normal….we were looked after by the staff, and had a lovely room. "
"Beautiful stay in an amazing location! We came for a wedding that was on in a hotel 5 minutes away so, we didn't get to spend a lot of time there unfortunately! From check in to check out, the staff were incredible, welcomed us and got us an early check in to get ready for the wedding! Check out wasn't until 12 which was fab 😍 shower was amazing, bed was so comfy, breakfast was delicious, overall a great stay and would definitely recommend "

5/5 Excellent
Beautiful view and lovely host!
"We so enjoyed our stay at Hillary’s place. She was a very helpful and responsive host with great recommendations on hikes and meals. We hiked the Croagh Patric hill which is the hill in the pictures and walked the nearby beaches. The house was a wonderful stay. Clean and beautiful."

"We had a great stay at The Cliff House. Great big room right across from the beach. The restaurant is good too, breakfast and dinner. Achill Island is stunning, not to be missed. "

"I’d give 10 stars if I could! We had the most wonderful two week stay here. It is a beautiful house in a perfect location.
The house had everything we needed and has plenty of space for human guests and for our dogs, they loved it just as much as we did.
The area is outstanding, quiet and peaceful with beautiful empty beaches within walking distance or a short drive from the house. On our first day, we saw a pod of dolphins that put on a spectacular display for us 🐬
Belmullet is a lovely wee town with exceptional restaurants and cafes, delicious food & staff who couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful.
The local people are really friendly, stopping to pass the time of day and making time for each other, something that is a thing of the past in other places I have visited. Such a special place and very heartwarming.
Our host Yvonne was excellent with her communications and if she could help in any way, she would. Checking in was easy and there was a very thoughtful welcome gift on our arrival. Yvonne allowed us to fix some wire to the gate so our dogs would be kept safe. We really appreciated being able to do that 🐾
We were so very lucky with beautiful sunny weather for most of our stay, so we have come home feeling totally refreshed and the five hour drive was well worth it.
If I had one recommendation, it would be for the caretakers of this beautiful house to ‘up their game’ by way of cleaning (hence only giving 4* for cleanliness) and presentation.
Thank you Yvonne.
