Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. Was able to relax and used the home as a central location to visit coastal Maine after he finished at Mount Katahdin. Flew in and out of Bangor. Beautiful cabin with lots of beds and open spacious living room. Awesome property on the lake and with dock, outdoor fireplace sitting area and water toys. "

"This house was the perfect set up for two families. We loved watching the sunsets on the lake. There is a nice solo stove on the deck for bonfires. They have a blackstone which was perfect for a couple of our dinners. The host reaponded very quickly to our questions. We visited Acadia a couple times and Bar Harbor (maybe save Bar Harbor for a weekday) which was about a 45 minute drive. Went to Stonington and kayaked around the islands. We did get passes for the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain but...
