"Wonderful hotel and overall v restful. A couple of errors makes me give it 4 stars for this visit. Check in had to be later than they said, the tv system did not work correctly, they should pay for cable for the hotel vs just a basic free view, considering that people are paying v high prices to stay here and breakfast not served on time and missing items. Nice front desk staff and bed very comfortable. Nice historic features. The great hall is amazing. "

"Our Christmas stay at the Welcombe Hotel was a nice break. The mansion is stunning, set in 157 acres of beautiful grounds, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot deer roaming around. "Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast was good quality and restaurant in the evening was good standard, unfortunately not the greatest sleeping experience. Stay in room 50, both nights experienced a repetitive banging noise around 1'oclock in the morning, lasted around 15 to 20 minutes. Assuming it was to do with the generator near the property."

"The Hotel is in a great location to all local amenities. Very clean and modern Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Really nice food served in the Hotel also. I would highly recommend this Hotel and would definitely return."
