Spectacular panoramic mountain views! 3 king suites, hike, bike, swim, paddle

Update 10/04/2024: we have power, water, and internet.

You can hike straight from the house! Private kayak slips on two lakes! Welcome to Treetop House Brevard, a beautiful 5 bedroom, 3.5-bath mountain house, 2448 square feet, with THREE master bedrooms and a beautiful mountain view with epic sunsets! Each master bedroom has an "en suite" bathroom, a California King bed (new in 2021), and a private outdoor covered balcony. There are also two open decks and a large screened porch, all with mountain views. The view is entirely woods and mountains, with hardly any houses visible -- it looks almost as if you are looking over thousands of undeveloped mountain acres.

Summer view is lovely but partially hidden by trees.

No more than 7 adults please. No events allowed. All guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peaceful environment in this mountain retreat.

We purchased and furnished this house in 2021 and it is in great shape -- most furniture is new, including all beds. We also have new water heater, AC/heat pump/furnace, fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer/dryer, television, ceiling fans, bedroom lighting, gas grill, kitchenware, etc.

The house has high-speed wireless internet in every room.

Our driveway is flat, but there are some hills as you drive through the neighborhood. All roads are well-maintained asphalt roads, and the hilly sections are not too steep.

Treetop House Brevard is in Connestee Falls (https://connesteefalls.com), a 3900 acre gated mountain community. The clubhouse is a 10-15 minute walk (you can also drive with plenty of parking). Your entire group will have access to neighborhood amenities including the private lakes, parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming pool, tennis courts, etc (currently $150 fee but I only charge you $50). The clubhouse has two restaurants and a bar, in addition to a library, a wellness center (828-885-2741, currently $10/day) and an 18-hole golf course (828-885-2005, currently $30 for 9 holes, $50 for 18 holes). There is live music most weekends. Dining reservations are currently requested for lunch, and required for dinner (call 828-885-7767).

We have no firepit: it's not allowed in the neighborhood.

MOUNTAIN VIEWS
Situated at 3100 feet elevation, Treetop House Brevard is literally at the highest point on its road. There is a panoramic long-range mountain view of more than 180 degrees, obscured somewhat in summertime with all the leaves out, but always beautiful.

LOCATION
Treetop House is at 335 Cheestoonaya Way, Brevard NC 28712. There is a level driveway with off-street parking for at least four cars. The house is walking distance from multiple private lakes for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding, as well as walking distance from the neighborhood clubhouse with restaurants, swimming pool, tennis, weight room, golf, etc. The house is in a peaceful, tranquil setting, and is surrounded by many of the famous local white squirrels (plus plenty of brown squirrels, deer, a few foxes and an occasional black bear).

HIKING AND BIKING
You can hike (or bike) straight from the house! You will receive both paper and online maps for the 20 miles of private hiking trails and impressive waterfalls through the 3,900 acre community.

In addition, Treetop House is a 13-minute drive to the nearest parking lot and trailhead in Dupont State Recreational Forest, with 10,000 acres of hiking and biking. Or a 23-minute drive to 500,000 acres of hiking and biking in Pisgah National Forest. See more complete list below.

SWIMMING AND PADDLING
You can bring your kayaks, boards, canoes, and other small water toys. We have two private kayak slips: at Lake Atagahi (1.3 miles / 5 minute drive from the house) we have 1 one-person kayak, and at Lake Ticoa we have 1 one-person kayak and 2 stand-up paddleboards. We have other small water toys at the house. Use at your own risk. Lake Tiaroga and Lake Ticoa are a short walk (7 minutes and 20 minutes) from Treetop House. All neighborhood lakes have car parking, a beach, boat ramp, picnic tables, and BBQ grills. More swimming in the outdoor pool at the clubhouse.

The views are most impressive. The house was large and spacious The extra fridge was a help with our large family gathering. The grill was most handy as we cooked on it most every day. The kids liked the lakes more than the pool. All in all it was a great time for everyone .

Amazing View, Great Community full of energy
A hidden jewel, beautifully maintained. Amazing king size beds in all rooms. Good for a large group. We enjoyed cooking on the grill, sitting on the patio and watching the amazing View. The main room is good to play games and chit chat all night. The best attraction is the kayaks and the paddle boats kids enjoyed a lot. Both the lake fronts are beautiful. The beach and fishing were fun activities, including the heated pool. Would love to go there again. Enjoyed every moment of the trip.

Perfect House
This house was perfect for our family and was located in a beautiful area about 6 miles outside of Brevard. There were endless things to do in the area! Upon arrival, our grandchildren (ages 6, 5 and 3) ran downstairs with glee to discover the bunk beds and large stuffed animals that awaited them. The children had plenty of room to spread out downstairs. The bedrooms on the main level and second story were spacious and large enough for our son and daughter in law to fit their pack and play crib in for the 9 month old baby. The beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom had small balconies with cafe table and two chairs. The living area had two very comfortable leather sofas and a large TV with many channels and a beautiful view looking west. There was an area near the fireplace where the children could read and play. There was even a children's table and chairs where they could draw. The kitchen was very well equipped and the dining room had a table large enough to accommodate us all. (We had 5 adults and 4 children). The screened in porch had a small sofa and two chairs and a large table which afforded many hours of casual conversation, reading, playing guitar, all while looking at a beautiful view of the mountains through the trees. The front yard was perfect for playing hide and go seek with the children. The owner was very responsive and communicative. I would highly recommend this house to other families.

The Best Winter Vacation
This rental was absolutely amazing... from the scenery to the home itself. The rooms were spacious with balconies for each room as well as the outside seating. The home was clean and sanitized, well stocked with linen, and household items even in the kitchen. Jeff Korte provides our family with a bottle of wine and spaghetti for one of our night stays. That was so thoughtful. The town people were very friendly and helpful during our vacation time there. To add the shopping, and downtown area isn't very far. We enjoyed some of the amenities in the community, where we fished and hikes. Most of all, we enjoyed the quietness and the peacefulness of the property. We look forward to revisiting soon.

What a warm and welcoming home! We loved this home. The comfortable beds, the plush carpet and cozy comfortable couches. We enjoyed movie time every nite and the sunsets were amazing! The porches are great too! Just a great place to relax with extended family. It was a blessing! The only thing I would add is soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. Everything else was perfect. Wonderful spot!
Such a great house! There was so much room for our group to spread out and relax. The owner was quick to answer questions and went above and beyond with little extras such as snacks, etc to make our stay even better. The neighborhood is very nice and we felt extremely safe. The view is beautiful off the back porch. It also rained a bit while we were there and listening to the rain from the screened in porch is so relaxing! Be aware that you will be asked to pay an additional $60 damage insurance halfway through the booking process (not sure why they wouldn’t just disclose that in the price?) but we will definitely be back.

Visit to the land of waterfalls
My wife and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly including the wine and makings for spaghetti that were waiting for us when we arrived. The house easily met all our needs. Although the view of the mountains from the deck was limited by the trees it is a great place to sit, relax and have a drink - even had a white squirrel visit us there. The hosts provided extensive information on how to get to the house, restaurants in the area, detailed descriptions of hiking trails and waterfalls all of which was very useful. There are so many recreational options in the community that you could easily spend all your time there and never visit the surrounding areas. One of the prettiest hikes I took was on the Carson Creek/Connestee Falls trail which is within the Connestee property. We would recommend this property to anyone.

We had a wonderful time in Connestee Falls. The house was comfortable and a perfect home base for our family. The screened in deck and open decks were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, storage containers, and plates/cups/silverware. We enjoyed many meals on the screened in deck, as well as many night time card games watching the sun set. The house was clean and we very much appreciated having access to a washer and dryer as well as beach towels in addition to linens and bath towels. Jeffrey was very quick to respond to questions and had clear and simple instructions for check-out. We very much appreciated his suggestions for local restaurants and hiking trails. One of our favorite trails was in Connestee Falls and led to a very pretty waterfall. The pool in Connestee Falls was also amazing. We look forward to returning this area and will certainly stay at Jeffrey’s house if it is available. Thank you so much!!

Owner Jeff was quick to respond and very helpful. Could not reach property manager when I attempted once during check-in and her voice-mail was full. Issue resolved itself. Property was as advertised and though could use updating was very comfortable. Great house for our 9 family members to spread out and have privacy when desired. Love the outdoor seating and the feeling of being in the trees. The community is just gorgeous with hiking trails that are truly remarkable. We also enjoyed Atagahi Park where we used the properties kayaks and paddle board, swam and had a picnic. One of the best family vacations ever! Awesome house Loved our time at the Treetop house!
The house was exactly as advertised - very clean and very homey! the three master suites were wonderful - only had 2 couples but it was nice to have separate spaces with king beds! The kitchen was well equipped and we did cook in a few times and had everything we needed - including the outdoor grille. The back porch/deck and screened in porch is where we spent most late afternoons and evenings enjoying the AMAZING weather, views of sunset and mountains. It was so peaceful and relaxing - we saw white squirrels and deer right outside and lots of birds. We didn't use any of the neighborhood amenities but they looked nice. The neighborhood was great - hilly and curvy but easy to drive. We saw more deer and white squirrels every time we drove in or out! Hikes in the neighborhood were great trails. we did Amakola to Connestee Falls and came back up along the cascades to Middle Falls and finally the big waterfall at the start of the trail. I was concerned at first that the house would be too far away from Brevard and other locations but it was perfect - 15 minutes! We even checked out a few places in Cedar Mountain off Greeneville Highway - favorites were Hiker and the Hound outfitter - say hi to Murphy (the hound) if you stop in! Cedar Mountain Outpost was perfect for well earned post hike beers / snacks! and Creekside/the Back Porch for lunch! Great Trip - Thanks Jeff for being so easy to communicate with and all the GREAT information on the area and instructions for everything in the house! Will be back again for sure!
