Location blocks from the cute little town of Brethren. Be the first guest's to enjoy the 2-bedroom, 1 bath cottage with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, beautiful quartz countertops and Amish crafted cupboards. One bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed, the other with a relaxing queen. Here you will have the enjoyment of the beautiful great outdoors. During the day you can make wonderful memories in the woods, on the river, at the softball/baseball fields and park for kids right next to cottage. Enjoy the beach, 3blocks north of the cabin. Kayaking or canoeing that are all within walking distance. Great golf courses for a ladies weekend or men's golf weekend. Other activities include blue ribbon trout fishing, steel head and salmon fishing within 5 minutes at the mystical Manistee River and Bear Creek. There are miles of hunting, hiking, trail riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and enjoying the pristine fall colors that nature has to offer within minutes at the Manistee National Forest. There is a fish cleaning station close to the property, no cleaning fish in the cabin and no smoking. If you prefer a night out on the town, the Little River Casino is only 18 minutes away. We have a little bit of everything to offer and can't wait to host you!

Perfect place for Manistee river fisherman!!
This place still appears brand new. It's Simple and perfect!! And everything our family of four needed to get away for a few days during spring break! They even have a circle drive to accommodate those towing boats! We've stayed in a bunch of VRBO homes and never had the excellent communication and understanding that we received during this particular stay!!!

Cabin was clean and new. Management was very responsive on an issue with the t.v and had it solved in no time. Nice patio and fire pit around back to gather around. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommended.

Great place to stay while fishing the Manistee.
Perfect location for our fishing trip this fall. Clean and comfortable. The only improvement I could suggest would be allowing the thermostat to be set lower than 70 degrees.

Really great property!
Super nice newer build, very clean. Comfortable beds. The only thing I will mention is the removable shower head is really weirdly high and the pressure was low. But everything was great!

Great home for many activities
This new home was clean and in perfect condition. The pictures shown are accurate and the home was the perfect place for us to stay while biking, hiking, kayaking and enjoying the beach. It's a very quiet neighborhood and it had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Our cell phone reception was spotty, so just be prepared for that.

We stayed here to travel around the western coast of Michigan. The place was great and met our needs. My only suggestions would be to have some box fans available since there are no ceiling fans. Some Tupperware would be useful in the kitchen for leftovers, too.

We stayed there to be close to fishing near Tipey Dam. The fishing was pretty good. We landed a few steelhead. The home was close to the fishing and the neighborhood was quite. Not scenic but good location for fishing.

Great VRBO property near outdoor recreation destinations
We (two adult males) rented this property as a home base while fishing nearby rivers for steelhead. It is conveniently located for most outdoor recreation destinations in the vicinity of Brethren, especially the Big Manistee River. The house smells new still and is immaculately clean. It has new heating/cooling and washer/dryer systems, and the kitchen is well-furnished with new utilities. Beds and furniture are clean and comfortable. Brethren is a small community with a couple of dining options and sporting supply stores nearby. What can't be found in Brethren can be found 20 minutes away in Manistee. The owner is easily reachable by phone and is attentive to the needs of renters. We had a problem setting the thermostat that was resolved onsite within about 20 minutes. Overall our experience was very satisfying, and we highly recommend this property.

very easy to find. close enough to see some sights but far enough that is was nice to just sit and read a book. Needed more time but a short getaway was very nice. Cottage is very nicely decorated. super clean. Was perfect for my wife and I but could imagine with a family -- would be very tight fit with living room. dining room, kitchen all within some area. Would recommend for a couples getaway. Also head to Traks Bar --- super food
