"The best parts of the room were the balcony and access to the indoor pool which was really cool for the kids. Its at the top of the mountain, so the views are excellent. Also, the ground level has 2 restaurants, a sitting and coffee bar area, as well as a small shop for souvenirs and other things. And also, tha elevators look exactly like the ones in the Death Star in Star Wars."

"Beautiful hotel! Great getaway for the kids. I really enjoyed the popcorn and movie at the pool. The room was very comfortable, and the location was convenient to so many attractions and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!"

"Pros: Very quiet and clean room. We had great quality sleep there. There are indoor and outdoor pools. Laundry facilities are also available. Helpful staff when we have requests. Cons: check-in process was not smooth. The check-in location isn’t the same as the GPS location. We went to the wrong place and saw a lot of other guests did the same. In addition to providing the check-in location address, it would be better if the instructions added a reminder that the check-in location is different than GPS location. Otherwise many of us would assume they were the same. Also, it would be more convenient if there were more obvious signs of garage entrance. We saw lots of cars driving into the oversized parking lot which needs a permit."

"Great location if you need a base for Dollywood"

"I've stayed a numerous places in Pigeon Forge over the years, staying at places that reminded me of a third world country to pretty nice. However, staying at the Compass by Margaritaville was a complete joy. The pools were excellent. The only thing I wish they had was a shower to rinse off from at the pools. The breakfast is probably one of the better ones, the only one better I think is Embassy Suites cooked to order eggs. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. However, the shower is top notch. The double-headed shower faucets was nice. The towels were not the type that exfoliates as you dry, they were soft and got you dry in a quick--heck even the pool towels were soft. Parking was easy and the hotel is located to walking distance to entertainment and other eateries. I will book at this hotel again."
