In one of the sunniest regions of France, between the sea and the mountains, this village house has been extensively renovated in line with the romantic character and rustic charm of its natural old stone walls and timber beams.
Simon and Anna live invisibly in the main house next door and are always available to share their love and knowledge of the area.
The house faces south so benefits from natural sunlight all year-round into the airy open plan ground floor and upstairs bedrooms.
The light and airy open plan ground floor provides ideal sociable living, with a real log fire for those chilly evenings or to the private garden with an outdoor kitchen equiped with sink, fridge, dining table and gas BBQ.
On the ground floor you'll find a fully equipped new kitchen which includes a Bertazzoni range oven with 5 burner gas hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and expresso machine. The cupboards are well stocked with good quality wine glasses and crockery.
Also, a new bathroom with plenty of hot water, power shower, sink and WC.
On the mezzanine floor there are two large bedrooms, bedroom one has a king size double bed with air conditioning. Bedroom two has a day bed which can be converted to a double, there is also an additional single bed. Both bedrooms have beautiful views over the pool and surrounding vineyards. Downstairs in the lounge there is a comfortable double sofa bed. All windows are fitted with roller mosquito blinds.
Please note, Children above the age of eight are very welcome. Sadly we are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 8 including babies and toddlers.

The medieval village of Neffies is a genuinely friendly rural community with authentic French character typified by the regular "Allo Allo" announcements though the church tower loud speakers. Most amenities are on your doorstep, a boulangerie, small local shop and two excellent restaurants - ‘L’Escampette and Le very Table - both offering excellent food and great value also Wine bar Nomad offering a good selection of wine, beers and tapas.
We recommend renting a car during your stay as you'll want to explore the local vineyards, markets, medieval villages and other historic buildings, there are also Mediterranean beaches within 30 minutes drive. Just 10 minutes drive is Pezenas described in the Rough Guide as “one of the singularly most beautiful towns in the French south west, endowed with an almost overwhelming concentration of grand architecture”. You may also wish to visit the town of Carcassonne perhaps the most impressive fortified medieval town to be found which is within a 90 minute drive.
