"I was really surprise at how much I liked staying here. The staff was very kind, it was very clean, comfortable, safe and conveniently located. I loved that car was parked in a locked garage adjacent to the building and not in a open lot somewhere else. It’s not the most exciting location but if that doesn’t matter to you, the good thing is that it’s very convenient. There’s gas stations, restaurants, Target, 4th street and access to the freeway all within reach. My only concern was the layout...

"Beautiful historic building in the heart of the Berkeley campus. Building shows its age and lacks a few creature comforts. No TV in guest rooms, but fast internet let us easily stream on our iPad. We will stay again, but if you go be prepared for a beautiful well run facility a few decades behind in technology and modern conveniences. "

"Amenities are very good -- large screen cable tv, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Many electrical outlets for your rechargers. Hot water is very hot and there's a lot of it. Front desk provided free soap, shampoo, and coffee for the coffee maker. Hotel is right on the main bus line, the 51B. Also near a major shopping area on 4th Street. Wall heater was malfunctioning and upon being informed, they replaced it with a new one immediately. Excellent experience in every way."

"The cottage was exactly as pictured and described. The host had welcome sign with my name, fresh cut flowers, coffee and a basket of welcoming goodies. Everything in the cottage was new, modern and clean. It’s quiet at night. WiFi was included. It is walking distance to stores and restaurants. Using Lyft or Uber was convenient but there is plenty of parking on the street if you have a car. It is definitely a very lovely place to stay. The host was very gracious."
