"Very pleasantly surprised as the photos on the website didn’t do this hotel justice. The grounds, decor and general standard was very high and staff all very professional. "Easy, friendly check in. We were early but left our luggage at reception, and still got our room earlier than check in time! Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from, the pancakes were yummy! Rooms very comfortable and was great having a bath and a separate shower. So close to the centre too! Would stay here again for sure."

"The hotel called us the day before our 2 bookings and said they were canceling our reservations due to double booking. We had already stayed 2 nights but forced us to leave losing the 3rd and 4th nights. Room was noisy due to construction. Had to climb 4 flights of stairs all the time. And on the nights they say they were double booked there were still vacancies showing on the search sites. Everyone else was full so we were forced to sleep in the car."

"Owner very friendly. I use a walking stick and the stairs were so steep and dangerous. I didn’t realise toilet was shared and would not have booked it if I realised it could be shared with 8 people. No shower, just a bath. Church next door and clanged every half hour through the night. At 7am it rang for ages. Breakfast very nice but dinner not brilliant. Had lamb chops, just 3 very not nice chops and not cheap. "
