"This is an older facility that reminds me of the motels along highways in the 50’s and 60’s. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was in a one floor building and was spacious and had a place for all our ski equipment. We were here mid-week and it appears to be a snowmobilers favorite spot. It was, however, quiet. "It was a nice stay. The driveway was slippery so when we walked our dogs we really had to be careful not to slip and fall. It also would have been nice if there was a better shoveled sidewalk to get into our room. We had to jump a pretty big snow pile to get onto the sidewalk to access our room. "

"We spent the weekend snowshoeing and cross country skiing at Fern Park. The park is a short drive from the motel. Great restaurants were within walking distance from the motel. The owners were very friendly, offered a great breakfast and kept the parking lot and sidewalks clear of snow during a snowstorm. "

"My stay at Hill Top Lodge was wonderful! Chris is a fabulous host (along with Bare and Nikko, the two king shepherds). The bacon really is as good as the other reviews say! Photos of the property really don’t do it justice (it may be a bit steep for some to access the creek by foot though). The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices, oils, pots, and pans for cooking dinners. I would absolutely stay here again!"

"Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. "
