Direct Oceanfront, 65 inch Smart TV, Fireplace

Paradise Found. The moment you enter the gate of Harbor Island your cares begin to melt away. Harbor Island is a small, laid back, private island with over 2 miles of dunes and sugar sand beach. There is no public access so the beach is always uncrowded. Activities abound, fishing, crabbing, shelling, kayaking and bicycling and much more.
There are only a few ocean front villas on the island, and they are located in either the D or K buildings. Our unit is in K which is more secluded and private than D. K is also closer to the Beach and Raquet Club, which is the activity center of the island. The club has an Olympic swimming pool, kiddie pool, and children's playground. The club house has an aerobic room and weight room on the lower level. Upstairs there is a snack bar and store, and covered balcony. You will also find volleyball, basketball, tennis, shuffle board, and horseshoe courts.
Our villa is perfect for your beach vacation. Inside the unit on the lower level you will find a comfortable Living Room with a oceanfront view, 65 inch flatscreen TV w/dvd, and electric fireplace. There is a queen sleeper sofa, dual reclining love seats, and a Lay-Z-Boy recliner. There is also a well appointed kitchen, dining area and 1/2 bath. Lastly, step through the sliding glass doors onto the balcony. There you will find a table, chairs, beach umbrella, chaise lounge and one of the best views on the island.
On the upper level there are 2 bedrooms, each with private bath and plenty of closet space. The guest bedroom has a Queen Bed, and a rocking chair and a flat screen TV w/dvd. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, flat screen TV w/dvd, and a wonderful 8ft window seat overlooking the dunes and ocean and is the perfect place to read or take a nap.
Outside the unit there are swimming pools just off each end of the building, and the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach.
In short, everything you need for a memorable family vacation or a romantic getaway.

I asked to cancel or reschedule due to a Hurricane forecasted to hit the day we arrived. The owner said it wasn't coming close to his property. It did hit our area and it was the worst storm ever. Cat4 The condo had roaches and the furniture was very uncomfortable. The owner was very difficult to work with

Fantastic

Can't beat the location!
Great location, beach was perfect. Tide goes out so far and you can discover so many cool things. The condo was great, everything we needed, no problems at all. The view was amazing. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back.

Great space in a great location
We loved our stay here. The condo, the view, access to the beach, and community amenities (fitness center, multiple pools, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts) were all excellent. Would definitely recommend it to our friends and family and would love to stay again ourselves.

Very Relaxing!

Great condo, beach walkout!
Beautiful oven view! You can look outside right at the beach walkout you’ll use. Three different pools on the property! One area also has a small kiddie pool next to the large swimming pool, and a gift shop with lunch & snack selections. Communication with owner was wonderful. Will plan on staying here again!

Second stay
This was our second stay at the property. We love the location. The wildlife around the area is spectacular. The unit was exactly as shown in the photos and the same as our last stay, besides a few upgrades. We spent time at the property, the beach, the pool and Hunting Island State Park. We will absolutely be back and be back to this same unit. Highly recommend!

I didn't realize it was a top floor condo. We had several people with knee issues which made it hard to get up the stairs. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Perfect beach location
The property was exactly as described, facing the ocean and next to the pool. The kitchen was very basic, but served our needs. We needed to refresh some supplies as we stayed more than a week. The beach was fantastic, as were the pools. We had a few hiccups at the unit (door code, slow drain), but the owner responded promptly and resolved the problems. Overall it was a perfect beach vacation for us and we would love to return in the future.

Peaceful and friendly
This was our first time vacationing in South Carolina. The people were so friendly. We live in east TN, so we're quite used to southern hospitality, but we were still impressed by the genuine friendliness, in and out of Harbor Island. The villa was great. We felt right at home, except we had a beach in the back yard!!! Kids rented bikes and rode all over without a care in the world. Wonderful stay. Wonderful people. So peaceful. Ended too soon.

The condo has a great location. Owner is easy to work with. One pool had filter problem and it was allowed to go on two days before the pool was closed down. Not too happy about that but not owners fault. Do think with a fairly large professional cleaning fee condo could have been a little cleaner. Found black greasy substance on floor by one bed, quite dusty and master bathroom had black mold. But over all we enjoyed our stay

Great location - calm and peaceful beach
This was our first time on Harbor Island and we will definitely be back. I’m still in awe about how clean and calm the beach is here. We saw dolphin right off the shore several times. It was truly amazing! The condo is nice and worked well for our family of five. I do recommend checking/replacing the shower faucets and upgrading the towels and bath mats. Although there are enough kitchen supplies, I would suggest that they also be upgraded. Many of the items are so old and worn out they are not useful. Outside of that, the condo was great and our trip was a memorable one!

Location,Location,Location The views from the bedroom and living area are GREAT! The amenities were very good. Cleanliness was average. The access to the beach was GREAT. A few minor items kept this property from being AWESOME , but it was a GREAT stay overall. I would definitely return to this property for a future visit. The pictures of the property are accurate.Communication with the host was excellent. Just be sure to do your food shopping prior to arrival as it is about 12 miles to grocer (Food Lion or Walmart). Johnson Creek Tavern seafood was very good with great portions. I travel quite a bit and not many places get a rating or review from me, but this property warrants a review.

Property was very nice and ocean view was amazing. Kids loved the nature aspects when tide was out from hundreds of hermit crabs to the horseshoe crabs to the loggerhead turtle nests. They did wish waves were a bit larger. Pools were nice. Raquet club pool is beautiful and huge! Accommodations were spacious and beds comfortable. Deck has a fantastic view. Unit is perfectly located within 100 ft of pool and walkway to beach. The beaches were truly empty and it was soo much nicer than other beaches from that perspective. Only downside was the drain in the guest shower was leaking and would drip through the ceiling leaving an array of buckets to collect water. Other than the leak the visit was 5 stars.

Peaceful family time we needed at the beach
We had a wonderful relaxing time at this beautiful condo just focused on the beautiful surroundings and time together without the usual hustle of work and sports and school…etc. it was incredibly peacefu and the beach was not crowded and full of amazing wildlife even our kids (ranging 6-17 years old) were so excited to take in. As parents we enjoyed watching our kids playing anf playing with them. We saw small sharks, a sting ray, a large horseshoe crab , several cool fish, and so many hermit crabs. Thanks to Lloyd’s suggestion we sought out the harbor island sea turtle volunteer Facebook page. They are wonderful and my girls and I ended up getting up early to walk the beach early in the morning while they followed sea turtle tracks and discovered three nests! Our girls even had their initials added to a nest marker so they could follow the Facebook page and check to see when the nest hatches later this summer! It was a trip highlight to be sure and the volunteers were so kind and informative. The condo was beautiful, comfortable and a perfect vacation spot. Thank you and we hope to come again someday!

TV unacceptable
It was great except the main TV in living area didn't work. Bedroom had sound no picture. Other bedroom had picture but no HD. So I had to sit in bed to watch blurry TV. Talked with the owner who put me in contact with cable provider. Twenty minutes on the phone with Comcast with no resolution. It would have been nice if the owner offered to comp one day of there stay or something. Otherwise, beautiful, well equipped condo. Excellent location and view. Very comfortable.
