The property was very good. Fantastic views of scafell pike and surrounding area. We stayed in a pod and was surprised at how big and comfortable it was. The dining facilities were excellent. We chose this hotel as we wanted a quiet night away not too far from home and away from the busy tourist areas and it didn’t disappoint. It’s hard to judge a place on a quiet weeknight in November but we had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. Dinner was great even if very quiet but to be expected this time of the year. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a large range of things in the buffet. Plenty of fresh coffee offered at regular intervals. All the staff we met were so nice and friendly and professional. As I have worked in hotels and most recently as a housekeeper I notice any little things that are often overlooked but I was fully relaxed and everywhere was clean and tidy and there was nothing that would put me off from going there again.

Good things -Clean and quiet hotel located in great central area overlooking the lake. -Room was lovely. -Great breakfast. Bad things - £25 per day for parking in their own car park 5min walk away feels like a rip off. -Over sensitive fire alarm system meaning 1 alarm going off per day of our stay. No real communication from staff, guests were keeping each other updated from the little bits we heard. -Pool was not warm. -Shower was awful. Couldn’t maintain an even temperature and had no overhead shower.
