"It was what I would expect out of a motor lodge. At one time someone put a hole in the bedroom wall, and they patched it and just left it unpainted and unsmoothed, looked shabby. The hot water never got hot in the bathroom sink unless I ran the shower on hot to bring it in, that was odd. The restaurant however is a saving grace, it was very good. "

"It was gorgeous boarding-house style lodging, clean and the host was so kind and lovely. there's a history of the house in the kitchen that I loved reading. Close to Algonquin Park for any hikers and surrounded by trees. I absolutely would stay again"

"My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards that hadn't seen a cloth in months and a filthy oven. Too many things to list. The buildings themselves were not properly described. The main cottage only has 2 bedrooms - one with a king bed, the second with a queen bed and a double mattress on a queen box spring. We had to wash all the sheets as they smelled horrible or hadn't been washed between visits. There were not towels or toilet paper for us to use. We had to bring our own. There was no 3rd bedroom in the main cottage - it was a murphy bed in the living room which is not super convenient when there with a group. The bathroom is actually 3 spaced - toilet/sink, tub/washer, toilet/sink, all separated by sliding barn doors. The bunkie was a bachelor style - the was one room with a bed, love seat and small kitchen. There were no sheets or blankets on the bed. The bathroom has a sink, corner shower and sink. Overall, it was a disappointing week for the amount that we paid and the description that this was appropriate for 10 people. "

"We had a girls getaway weekend and this was the perfect place to do it! From the moment we walked in everything was perfect! Jess is a very thoughtful host and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend including towels, robes, coffee, tea, and even a charcuterie board upon arrival! You can tell that Jess has put a lot of time and thought into each little detail. We can’t wait to make this our yearly getaway! Highly recommend :)"

"Once again, we had a terrific family and friends vacation (that includes our fur babies). I was looking for a place to relax and recharge, connect with my family and our friend’s family. We are a go go go family and need a week to just sit, play, and enjoy each other’s company. We are a large bunch with several teenagers and need space and a place that isn’t ‘fussy’. This hit the mark again. Janet was super helpful leading up to our stay and during our stay. Everything you need to know is at your fingertips. If you are looking for a place to wake up, open the door and let the kids play, this is it. "
