This newly renovated three-bedroom and two-bath house on Ledgelawn Avenue features a happy backyard, plenty of sleeping area, and a small office where an internationally best-selling novel was written. Really.

There's a grill outside on the deck, a second oven, a big gravel driveway and it's all in incredibly close proximity to Great Meadow Loop (for a hike), the Park Loop Road and in-town Bar Harbor. Lilacs bloom. Birds sing. And it's an incredibly happy place to enjoy Bar Harbor.

Great for a family
The house worked great for our family! It was a short walk to get to downtown Bar Harbor and an easy drive to the hiking we wanted to do at Acadia National Park. There was a nice playground just around the corner, too. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious home for our party of 8. Loved the porch and private backyard for our grill out. Perfect location, close to Acadia park w its many amenities and walking distance to cute Bar Harbor for shops and eateries. Parking was so helpful and place was well-stocked! Amazing property
This house was perfect for a hiking trip for 7 ladies. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It is gorgeous and spacious and clean. The location to everything was perfect- 30 minute or less drive to most local attractions and easy to walk into town.

My family of four (two in 70s and two in 40s) had a wonderful time. The location was most convenient with a short walk to Bar Harbor downtown and quick drive to the park. It only took 12 min to drive to Cadillac Mountain road entrance! The house was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Would definitely recommend it for families.

Peaceful and leisurely
Had a great short stay that was peaceful and leisurely. Walks to town and Eden farmers' market. No crowds as we were there just before the start of the season, but still had access to all of Acadia Park and lobster pound meal. And the weather suited us perfectly. Finally made it to Maine!!
This vacation was planned for 2020 and got canceled. Finally was able to get 3 generations together for trip. This was perfect place for Acadia and Bar Harbor. Great easy walk to town for shopping, eating, and other things. Gkids loved going to park for kickball and frisbee. House had everything we needed.

This was a great property. Very comfortable. Very clean. Everything we needed. Loved the laundry room. Short walk into town. Short walk to hiking trails or drive to other parts of the park. I would gladly recommend this house to any family looking for a great homebase near Acadia or downtown Bar Harbor.

Great for families
Great house with plenty of room for a family of five. Quick communication from the owner. No street noise and a park with multiage play equipment about a block from the property. It was an easy quick walk to downtown where there was a good variety of shops and restaurants. There was a large grocery store at the edge of the downtown area and the kitchen had what we needed to make meals. It was a short drive to the Acadia park entrances. We would definitely stay here again.

Could have been a bit better
Stating that there was A/C was misleading. There were window units in only 2 of the 3 bedrooms and no where else. The window units were extremely loud making it difficult to sleep. The house and yard were a bit rundown and the inside could have been cleaner.

Excellent Bar Harbor Home
This property was perfect for our family visit to Acadia. My wife and two college aged sons were delighted by this comfortable,3 bedroom, 2 bath in-town Bar Harbor home. We enjoyed walking to lunch, dinner, the library, the bike rental shop and shopping in downtown Bar Harbor. We liked the gas grill which was easy to use. We enjoyed a fire in the back yard firepit. And of course, Acadia National Park is close by. I was able to enjoy two early morning bike rides on Acadia's Loop Road. Our family really enjoyed biking on the carriage roads

Excellent Stay!
We loved everything about the house!! It was super clean, spacious and fun. The kids loved roasting marshmallows at night with the fire pit. There is a playground and ball field right around the corner. It is within walking distance to town. Also something that I didn't see listed on the amenities are the Pack n Play and High Chair. Having these already at the house made our long drive that much easier. We loved it all!!
