Awesome
Loved the house but the creek was icing on the cake! More than enough room for our family. Great location felt in the middle of so much. House and creek were therapeutic.

Avoid Properties Managed by Vacasa
The home we rented was filthy. The curtains were covered in visible dust. When I opened my bath towel, a ball of tangled hair fell to the floor. The back porch seemed as if no one ever swept it or wiped anything down. There was a bucket of cigarette butts next to the chairs on the balcony near the master bedroom. We reached out via text and email multiple times about the non-working fireplace. We received a response that appeared to be coming from overseas with very poor and broken English. Their response each time I reached out was that they reached out to the local office and were waiting for a response. The response never came. The hot water heater was leaking in the downstairs bedroom. It has been leaking for quite some time as the room smelled musty and gross upon arrival. The heat also did not work downstairs. The beds were uncomfortable (hard, old spring mattresses with flat pillows). The couch and chairs were equally uncomfortable and likely more than 20 years old. The homeowner should seriously reconsider who they use to manage their property before their home is damaged by lack of care or they lose rental opportunities as a result of bad reviews. The house is lovely and could be a magical vacation home.

Anniversary weekend getaway
The sound of the water flowing down the creek as you drift off to sleep has to be better than any sound machine ever. The beds were comfy and so was the fireplace. Dinner on the deck was my favorite thing of all. Highly recommend this home as well as the location!

Great Getaway
Had a great time with friends in this cozy mountain home. The house wasn't as clean as I would have liked, but was fine otherwise. The stream behind the house was relaxing as we slept with the windows open. Loved it! Will visit again!

Sugar Mountain ski weekend
Property was in a good location and overall a good experience, however, the water wasn’t turned on when I arrived nor was the breaker to the hot water heater on. Additionally, much of the dishes and flatware were put away dirty. Visually dirty. Plastic cooking utensils were very old and many partially melted. Again, our trip was a success but for the money, a little TLC and money spent on kitchen equip would hurt the owners. Respectfully.

Great week
The property was great for our family. It was a little older than it looked in the pictures. The front steps (about 20 of them) will need to be replaced within the next year. Overall it was a great week and property

It was ok
As soon as we arrived we tried using the restroom and we had no water. Contacted the “vasaca company” did not hear back for almost an hour. My husband ended up going under the house and actually flipping on the water from the main water source in the crawl space. We also found someone else’s dirty black underwear in one of the beds- so gross. Then when contacting the “manager” again, asking since it was a holiday the Day were leaving we had no place to take our trash out too(trash place was closed), they sent back a generic message stating that the trash place was open 24/7 which in fact is not true, so we had to run around town trying to find a trash container we could put all our trash into. Place smelled so very musty like it hadn’t been used in a long time. Fire place also did not work. The downstairs kid area started to smell of cat piss. The best part was the kids playing in the river in the back.

Tidy but didn’t feel clean
This is a very cool house that needs a better cleaning crew. There were bowls that still had leftover dried food on them, the carpet on the stairwell looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and the coverlet on the main bed smelled like stale cigarettes. I understand being in its location the musty smells and dampness are unavoidable, but the lack of focus on detailed cleaning was very apparent. There were also half used toilet paper rolls on the holders - in the time of COVID I would hope toilet paper especially was always brand new and in its wrapper.

Close to the slopes!
The property is very close to Sugar Mountain ski resort. It is tucked away in the forest on a hill side by a creek. The design and style of the house is interesting and cozy, with the lovely sound of the creek running behind and views of the forest out the loungeroom window. It is a bit old though, and I did not sleep well on the hard bed; some things were broken or didn't work and it was not cleaned as thoroughly as I would expect. Overall, I felt that it was over-priced for what it offered.

Different than any home we ve stayed in thus far with its location on a very cool kid friendly rushing creek. Management attended to a couple of our needs immediately. Although located in a neighborhood, privacy and quiet prevailed.
