"This was the first time I stayed in Banff and I'll definitely be staying at this lodge again. We stayed during their big skijoring weekend, and they made it such an enjoyable weekend. They texted us in advance with information about parking reservations, they let us check in early, and we got free breakfast. Honestly, they exceeded expectations. "What a perfect weekend. A MUST STAY. I regret not staying here years sooner. 11 stars, chic hotel, modern bar, grotto hot tub. Room was super cozy, like someone turned up the heater right before we walked in (Jan 18th, -17oC). Room was super clean too, down to the last water drop being polished away from the faucets. Only a 10 min walk to downtown was shorter than we expected, so many interesting hotel lobbies and an outdoor patio bar to stop at on the walk to downtown. Quiet rooms too, with the BEST, well stocked lotions and soaps, Rocky Mountain Soaps of Canmore. Last but not least were the amazingly kind staff that recommended parking and dining options around town that we weren't even aware of, after all these years. "

"Easy check in. We were only there for the night as we got up to go ski. Was easy in and out and the 3 bed option is awesome!!! Highly recommend and will be staying at this hotel again. "

"We booked this hotel for a family Christmas and New Year ski vacation. We booked the Hotel and flights (from the UK) together on Expedia and was happy with the package and price. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the front of the hotel. There was no issue with road or other noise, either from inside or outside of the hotel. The balcony was nice, and the view out onto the portico and front of the hotel, decorated for the holidays was lovely. Nicely done Caribou team! Some of the reviews list the rooms as "tired" and I guess the carpets are showing a bit of age and the TV stand is certainly a bit "retro". But apart from that the room was warm, beds comfortable and always clean and niceely serviced. The hotel is about a 10-mimute walk from the main shopping area and all the hotels on the main drag have resturants attached, so there is lots of choice. Carobou has a "Keg" steakhouse, which offers really good quality food (if a little pricey) if you are on a budget). One minor point: You can't sit in the inviting hotel lounge with a drink from the Keg bar because of a licensing issue. For me, that's a bit of an obvios "miss" that needs addressing. For Winter Sports, this hotel is an excellent choice. There is carparking under the hotel, and lockers for skis/boards, etc (the hotel will provide a padlock). The ski bus to/from Sunshine and Like Louise stops right outside hotel - so absolutely ideal. All staff super!"
