"The owner was very sweet and courteous. The Cardinal is an older motel on the outskirts of St.Thomas. Doesn't look like much from the road but it is a little gem. It has just what u need for an overnight/weekend stay...nothing fancy but quaint and clean. Would definitely recommend staying there!!! Stayed there for a competition at the local high school. Affordable place. Nice to help keep local businesses alive!!! "

"The room was small (suppose to be a suite with a kitchen). It had a small sink and a mix of dishes and utensils that clearly came from a thrift store as they were things your grandmother would have had. Nothing was clean. The shower was disgusting, the water out of every faucet in the room smelled like sulphur. The carpet was stained all over, everything in the room was falling apart. Toilet paper was just on a metal rack, no roll hanger/dispenser. There were rules that no visitors after 11pm or...

"When we arrived, they had guard dogs that came barking at the car. Scared my kids. We had hoped to play outside in the snow, and brought snow pants and gear, but when the dogs were there, my kids refused to go out In addition, it's not the whole house. It's an apartment on the side, which is beautiful, but the family lives in the main part, so not total privacy.The place was clean, beds made, nice big area.
