Lake Travis - 4 Bed, 2 Bath, with spectacular views

Due to a current Lake Travis drought conditions, we have NO WATERFRONT at this time. No visible waterfront at property and docks are not floating. Rental is for the home only. Price is currently discounted to reflect the lack of waterfront.

Lake Travis home with territorial views including a partial view of Lake Travis! This lovely country setting home has lots of privacy on about 3 acres with 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Enjoy the serene and private home and lounge in one of the decks. Your family will enjoy playing games and/or sharing a meal overlooking the lake viewed from the large living room windows and the decks. End your day on the deck and enjoy spectacular sunsets! Star gazing at night can also be quite breathtaking.

**NOTE: Lake Travis is currently suffering from a serious drought and the docks are not afloat at this time. (see last several photos for recent lake level pictures). We have significantly reduced our nightly rate due to the absence of waterfront. No waterfront at this time. **

Home is located only 20 minutes away from downtown Austin. The waterfront is typically steps away from the property and surrounded by beautiful foliage. Nearby is a boat launch and public park. This is a perfect getaway for families, friends, and adventure seekers!

Our property has lots of stairs between the driveway and the home. Its perched high upon a hillside overlooking the lake bed, so if you have trouble with stairs, please inquire before booking.

** Lake Travis water level update: the lake level fluctuates and is very very low at the moment. The docks are not floating! Lake is low and no waterfront is present at property at this time. You will need to walk south of the property through a trail to reach the waterfront**

House is also available to rent for long term rental, (31+ days minimum) provided at a 50% discounted rate.

Had a beautiful time. It was the perfect place for me and the Ms. to reconnect and bond. We watched movies , we watched the sun set on while sitting on the patio, cooked good food, had the best wine and just enjoyed the quite in the hills.

Missing the lake
Getting to the property was a little tricky the driveway was narrow and steep, outside property need a little landscape maintenance and the deck is a little outdated, inside was very clean and comfy enough space for the family, bring mosquito repellant they will get you lol. No water at alll lake travis is loosing so much water!! The view's where great , decent price good experience

Easy Stay
The sunset views were gorgeous. Sitting around the Fire pit and sitting on the dock were both awesome and relaxing ways to end the day! House had everything we needed and was a great location - 10 mins from everything. Hosts were also very communicative and accommodating. Would stay again!

For the price of just one room at budget hotels, it was awesome to be able to house five adults in a private home with great views and room to relax. Could have handled one more guest. As the owner clearly emphasizes in the description, trying to park up top is not worth it for most vehicles.

Perfect for our friends weekend.
Communication with property owners was great, check in and check out process was a breeze. The house had everything we needed and slept 7 adults comfortably. The weeds around the stairs leading up the house needed to be mowed down to make it a bit easier getting to the house, other than that everything was perfect.

This property needs a lot of work & cleaning. We saw several small nasty roaches & other bugs. We never felt comfortable in the house. The property is older & needs a major overhaul & cleaning, it’s not easily accessible for small children or elderly. It’s not easily accessible from the street. It really doesn’t have a spectacular view it’s not worth the walk! However, the owners were nice & friendly!

Beautiful Birthday Celebration!
We celebrated our son’s 50th Birthday. He lives solo in Austin, but no room to celebrate. We live in Kentucky, so we needed to figure out where and how to celebrate with him and his friends. This was the perfect solution! The owner very generously allowed us to invite guests other than just the few of us who were staying overnight, and we had a perfect celebration! Everyone loved the setting, the view, the outdoor decks, and the lovely setting inside. Kids could run off their excess energy outside! Thank you so much to our hosts!

Fun girls weekend
The property is amazing! We unfortunately got stuck inside during our stay due to rain and flooding but there was movies and games provided we had fun with! The only downside was we had problems with flushing the upstairs toilet and it's the only one up there with the bedrooms. It really only stunk at night when we had to walk downstairs, but you can make due! It was amazing and wed come back in a heartbeat in the summer! (No chance of flooding) Haha!

The house is in good location. Owner did warn there's no water and very dry. But only 2 posted photos about it. Should have had more photos showing the dry and drought. The photos showing water were old shouldn't be on the properties listing page. Parking is tricky and rough driveway. Wish had photos showing it to expect rugged way in back of properties.Upper and lower driveway are steep like 45 degrees. A dolly would help if known in advance. House interior is nice & clean. Upstairs shower had some sewer smell like 5 minutes showering. Owner was friendly and talked thru with confused parking .Thank you. Other than that the stay was fine. Our family would have had more fun if there were water in the lake.

Disappointed. Not as expected.
The property manager, Corie, was very easy to contact and was helpful in providing information. She was very accomodating and allowed us an early check in. However, the pictures do not really show the condition of the property. The house was clean but the shower head was broken in one of the bathrooms. She was very apologetic and did have someone come the next evening to fix it. There was also no hot water the second day we were there until we were able to find the circuit breaker and reset the water heater. These were unfortunate and she did respond to my calls right away. The yard of the property needs to be cleaned up but the biggest disappointment was the lake. I received a note about a week before our stay saying that the lake was low and that the dock was not as it should be. This was an understatement as there was no water even close to the dock. I think that I should have been notified that the lake was very low and the dock was not in any water when I booked our stay or as soon as it was apparent that there would not be floating dock as the pictures showed. We brought fishing poles to do some lake fishing from the dock and there was no way that was possible. I realize that the level of the lake is not something that can be controlled but I should have been notified and also been given the opportunity to cancel without penalty.

JUST FANTASTIC!
This is a wonderful gem just outside of Austin. Corie and Bill are one of the best hosts that i have had a pleasure of dealing with. The description of the property was 100% to what you are getting and then some. It felt like being at a home away from home. Hope they continue to maintain the quality of their property and that other guests don't ruin it for the rest of us. Nice job guys! P.S. Top side parking is tricky and best to back into it. Service dirt road is easier, but more stairs.😅

Not for the elderly
Quiet, steps are steep getting up to the place. Back drive is best way to get in. Front drive is only accessible from one direction. It was a good thing my brothers and sisters were able to get up the steps.
