"We enjoyed our stay primarily for the cleanliness and location. It is across from a cemetery, but that didn’t bother us. Quiet neighbors, my husband said. But we loved the covered side porch and the comfy bed. Only down sides were the bathroom was very small, especially the shower, and the floors are pretty uneven, which would be a challenge for older guests (including the steep and slippery stairs up to the primary bedroom). Also, it appears that the owners suite is located just down the hall...

"Stayed here for 4 nights, during our move out of the area. Home is comfortable and our daughter loved the kid touches. The basket of toys and books were so much fun for her. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. Two minor downsides, the kitchen showed some remnants of bugs. The owner said she was going to call pest control, but this was obviously missed by the cleaning crew. Additionally, there is quite a walk from where you park (near the garage) to the front door....

"This clean and cozy VRBO is positioned perfectly within historical downtown Newbern. The Tryon Palace is directly across the street. Atlantic beach is 45 minutes away. You are in walking distance to many different types of restaurants. It was a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. We will be staying here again."

"Property had almost everything my family needed. The host was very responsive. All appliances were adequet. Gas grill was also quite large and clean which was a pleasure to see. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The furniture in the home was up-to-date and ample. There isn't an area for the furbabies to get out of the water unassisted. The dock is set on deep water which was also nice for boat parking. The kayaks were moldy and dirty and the seats were all rotted and unusable. We...

"A unique house! We loved the antique pin ball machine! Home was clean and well stocked. The pool looked inviting but too cold for us to use. We did enjoy sunset on the dock. Oriental was a precious town and just a few minutes drive from the home. Property manager was great to communicate with and responded quickly to a minor issue. We loved the tote bag! We enjoyed our stay!"
