"Great location by the river, cafes, cathedral and 33km cycle route. The hotel was shabby in the hallway with bags of dirty linen left all day and overnight. The lifts strongly smelt of cheap deodorant. But, once in the room it was like a different hotel. Light, spacious, great view of the cathedral and river. Excellent kitchenette which is a bonus, nice bathroom and lots of little reminders to be eco friendly. We'd highly recommend if you're happy to walk through the neglected entrance and...

"The grounds are amazing - so much space, lots of chairs, great outside dining area and a fantastic pool! The kitchen is small but fully equipped. Beds are comfy (except plastic mattress protectors). For us the room layout was an issue. The two twin beds are actally family rooms with double beds in, not separate as it looks like in the listing photos, which are very misleading. This was frustrating for us as we had to have three children in our room - we had booked here to avoid that happening....

"Wunderbares Häuschen in Abbeville mit ganz gemischter Nachbarschaft, mittendrin und doch ruhig. Kurzer Weg auch zum nahe gelegenen Park. Gut erreichbar Orte und Natur im Tal der Somme, in der Baie de Somme und etwas weiter entfernt an der Küste. Tagesausflug nach Amiens gut machbar. Unproblematidch auch mit Hund."

"The property was very nice and the response from the property manager was excellent. For us the location was very good, check in was easy and the only slight issue for us was one of the pans was unclean from I presume a previous customer, the sofa cover could also do with a clean though we had a sheet covering if due to us having our dog with us. Overall the property was lovely and we enjoyed our stay."

"We had a lovely holiday at Maison de Bonheur. The facilities were excellent. Lots for children and adults alike. There was a shed full of different types of outdoor games. We particularly liked the boules. The pool was lovely and we had great weather so made full use of it. The accommodation was good too. Lovely authentic bedrooms with plenty of space. "Loved the property. Well stocked with everything you would need. Brilliant location for trips to the beach or visits to remember the wars. Amiens was approx 1.25 hours away(caught the train to Paris). Hot tub was a nice added bonus. And the eggs were to die for. Absolutely no problem with the Wi-Fi so it kept a 15 year old very happy!! Thank you for an excellent stay."

"We had such a relaxing stay. The maisonette is so cute, and the nice area around it almost "forces" you to take it very easy and slow. We totally not felt guilty we only did a few trips in the larger Somme area and stayed outside the little house reading and enjoying the quietness and the animals walking by. The hosts are also extremely friendly and helpful and speak English."

"Just returned from a wonderful holiday in this property. Sylvie and Bernard are a friendly couple who looked after all our needs checking everthing was OK and Sylvie baked a wonderful french cake for us to enjoy on our arrival. "Quaint little wooden gite in a peaceful village rural location. Great location for visiting WW1 memorials around The Somme region. Amiens is a beautiful city about 25 minutes away. We used as a base to visit Lille and Paris for the Olympic’s and both were about an hour and a half drive away. The host was constantly in touch for arrival and made us feel very welcome. "
