"This is a beautiful property outside the hustle and bustle of the town of Sintra. It helps to have a car if staying here, but Uber is an option. Breakfast is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Armie runs the place and is very friendly and efficient. She makes sure everyone has a positive experience. We are within walking distance of Pena Palace and the Moors castle. Even walking into town is only 25 minutes. You won't regret staying here!"

"The best place if you want to visit Quinta da Regaleira, Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Steps away from restaurants and shops. The bus stop is right next to the hotel. "The staff especially Rueben were all very wonderful! I loved my stay there. Just be aware the road outside is closed to traffic but they will give you a code so a driver can access. I was there during the terrible Martinho storm and the road was closed so the owner actually carried my luggage up the hill for me! I will definitely come back! "

"The hotel was located on the slope which you need to walk with care from slipping. Is dangerous for old people. The room is a good size to place luggage’s. Shower water pressure is great. "Very cute! Just like in the pictures. And the basement apartment was huge! Shower had great water pressure & hot water. Wish we could stay more than 1 night. I don’t understand how people do Sintra as a day trip from Lisbon, an over night stay was a must. Ubers/Bolts can’t get to the property, but they get you to about a 3 minute walk… but there’s a lot of stairs in the way, plus luggage, just be aware. Wonderful hotel, a must stay in Sintra!

"We were warmly welcomed by the staff at the NH Centro Sintra, who were extremely helpful. We were delighted to be upgraded to a gorgeous Valley view room that had a balcony / terrace with beautiful views over Sintra including the Castelo dos Mouros and the Quinta da Regaleira. Breakfast was fantastic, my mum who is a very fussy eater, said it was the best hotel breakfast she had ever had. The service wasn’t OTT, but they were attentive. The restaurant had views across the valley and we even witnessed a rainbow! We had a few drinks at the bar and the staff were wonderful. They didn’t have the wine I requested so the barman asked my preference and chose a gorgeous wine based on that. The location of the hotel is second to none (although ignore the route on Google Maps as it takes you all around the houses and up very steep sets of stairs - not ideal with cases!) with the incredible views from the back and the front coming out into the historic square. Do not let the outside of the hotel put you off, the inside is beautifully decorated and the rooms are really well appointed. We can’t wait to return! "

Elegance in Sintra

"We had a delightful stay at this beautiful property. From customized fresh breakfast each morning (pastries, omelette, meats, cheeses, fresh juices, and more!) to the lush property with peacock and parrots to the incredible room, our stay was a very happy one. Walkable to town (mostly flat) and to National Palace, Regaleira."

"Being a solo traveler on this trip, this was a perfect location for rest and relaxation. I loved that the property is right along the shore/on the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to open my balcony door and listen to/see the waves. The standard, first floor room was a good size with a comfortable bed and nice shower heads in the bathroom with hot water (hot showers are important to me). The complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast buffet included with my room rate were very nice touches. As well, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Mariana was a lifeline as she assisted me in getting around by looking up bus and train schedules and suggesting apps for me like Bolt, Omio and Moovit in addition to answering any other questions that I had for her. Sofia was willing and available to help when I needed also. I got a great value for the service and amenities that I received, and I would definitely return to Arribas Sintra without hesitation. "

"This was a great spot to stay in Sintra! It was a quick walk from the crazy bustle of the tourist area and had a wonderful shared space to relax. The property is well stocked and extremely homey. I would definitely stay there again!"
