"Clean"

"Nice resort directly on Daytona Beach Shores. Room was spacious, clean, and updated. Bathroom was large. We had a view of the ocean, which was nice. Some rooms have balconies, but we did not. In nice weather, this would be a good feature, but it was chilly, especially in the evenings and mornings, so not a drawback at this visit. Facility has a restaurant, a bar, shops, and a very nice outdoor space on the beachfront. There were firepits, seating areas, cornhole sets, and you could rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Be aware that you are charged a daily resort fee; it was around $33 a day at our visit. This seems a bit excessive for what you get, as does the parking fee of around $26 a day. There were a couple of minor issues with our room, small enough not to detract from ratings, but worth mentioning. The closet was located in the bathroom, behind the door. So if you needed a coat or anything you decided to hang up, you had to open the bathroom door, go in, then close the door, to get your item. Also, the bathroom had metal bars below the vanity top with glass shelves for towels. This was fine, but the plumbing under the sink is open and visible and not aesthetically pleasing. All in all a nice resort, especially at the price we got on Expedia. I'm not sure I would splurge at the regular prices, which don't include the resort fee nor the parking fee. "

"This place is a hidden gem. I have been coming to the Daytona area for years but never knew about this place. I’m so glad I found it. It’s an older place with the charm from days gone by. But it is great! The beds were comfortable the rooms are very clean and the view is great from every room. Don’t worry about not being able to get “ocean front” because all of the rooms in the main tower have views that look at the beach and ocean. There aren’t balconies but right outside your door there are chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The heated pool while I didn’t get in was good sized and still being used in late January. You could see the steam coming off it in the mornings when temps were in the 40s so it’s definitely heated. Now let me tell you about the staff. All 4 ladies I dealt with at the front desk were super friendly. One in particular as well as the manager who I apologize but I don’t know their names went above and beyond. I had a small issue that required me to change rooms after my first night and not only did they immediately get me moved but they upgraded my room to a higher priced room to make up for the trouble. I cannot recommend this place enough!! This is my new go to hotel in the area. It’s away from the bustle of Daytona and the strip but still close enough to easily go do anything you want to do. Do yourself a favor and book this place next time you are down there!! "
