"It was pretty nice. Me and my husband went around 4 hours early and we couldn’t checkin but they took our luggage so we could walk around. It was close to restaurants so that makes everything easy for us. Good location. I would definitely come back."

"The Watergate is the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in to date, and it definitely reflects that. I think while the exterior is showing its age with the dated architecture, the interior and the staff do all they can and then some to make up for it. The lobby is beautiful, and so are the rooms. I almost forgot the views of the Potomac also did their fair share of helping with the exterior too. Overall, one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel."

"Recently stayed at Sofitel in D.C. and had a wonderful experience. The room was great and the service inside the hotel was top-notch especially the front desk staff. The restaurant breakfast team had food ready in short time, good portions and the croissants were exceptional. However, I believe there’s room for improvement in the external entrance area. First inpressions last a lifetime. It could be more inviting, and a bit more attention to detail from the valet staff in welcoming guests...

"The staff was amazing! They found out it was our anniversary and left framed pictures, balloons, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room. All for free! The bathrooms are lovely. The lobby, lounge and restaurant were impeccable. The bed and bedroom was a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Very walkable location to all the best attractions in downtown. "
