"Emily’s Apartment, was perfect for our seven day stay in Viana do Castelo. Luisa and José met us upon our arrival and directed to our parking space. They also aquatinted us to the apartment. The bottle of wine and chocolates were much appreciated. The apartment is very clean and well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Most anything you want to see or do is a short walk once you step outside the door. I highly recommend this little gem to anyone staying in Viana do...

The only down side is it is a little isolated with out a car but there is a bus near by and taxis are available and under 10 euros to get to town "

"We spent two nights in August at this villa and would have liked to stay longer. It's well equipped and very comfortable, and although there were only three of us there is plenty of room for six people. The villa is about a 20 mins walk to the beach if you don't want to drive. Lucilia, our host was there at the same time and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality - the confiture was delicious!"

"The house is just minutes from the beach. Even in early August the beach is not crowded. Water temperatures were around 16 C. The beach gets windy in the afternoon when kite surfers start. There are life guards which adds extra safety. The little town is cute with restaurants, beach cafes and a little grocery store. A train to Porto runs a few times a day. The house itself has some charming aspects such as the ocean view and the hardwood floor. The kitchen has a lot of useful things....

"Overnight stay to attend the local festival. Excellent location for this. Clean and comfortable, didnt use the sites facilities so cannot comment on these. "

"We had a splendid stay. The house was just as described. All amenities described were provided. The owner, Filipe, is very responsive and helpful with any questions. We had no issues. We enjoyed the peacefulness yet close to town. As for the driveway from precious comments, yes it is steep, but we had no issues at all! We followed Felipe’s advice and we were fine."

"My stay at this place was great, very quiet place, big property with small vineyards and a great swimming pool. Mr Ernesto was great and flexible with the check in and out (5stars to that) Nice couple of rooms for a couple each, kitchen is full equipped but oven (has a wooden oven outside) The only thing that I can mention is a lack of a full indoor living room which the bit outside is great for it any time of the day if good weather... if not is also ok and you always can burn some wood/coal...

Wonderful place to stay

"The hotel has the most beautiful views. We were given an upgrade and had a room overlooking both the sea and a the famous church which overlooks the city. At the same time we had a welcome gift of wine, heart biscuits, and grapes. The biscuits and grapes were replenished each day. The breakfast at the hotel was quality and in a beautiful room. This hotel is recommended. The staff are very kind "

"Los funcionarios de recepción super atentos, el lugar moderno y muy confortable. En la sala de estar del lobby se ofrece servicio 24 hs de bebidas calientes ( café, te ) y jugos fríos , además de agua , todo totalmente gratuito. La calefacción en el lugar es estupenda. "I stayed in this fabulous chocolate hotel in early October when I was walking on the Camino way. After a 10 mile day of walking, it was wonderful to get there and berated with a wine spritzer with chocolate shavings, delicious chocolate bar, and a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was included and was absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend this place. "
