"This was a cute little hotel. More like a guest house over a restaurant. The room was lovely and the bathroom decent and clean. There is a shared kitchenette and small lounge area on each floor for guests. The guesthouse is above a cute restaurant with delicious food, and in the main area of Akureyri, so it was very walkable to other restaurants and shops. Parking was easy across the street from the hotel as well and staff were friendly and efficient. "

"Loved this hotel!!! The Hotel Akureyri Dynheimar is a firm favourite; its charm and character have been preserved and enhanced by clever interior design choices. The rooms are generous and very well-fitted. Our room had a large desk, a comfy armchair, a beautiful bathroom, and a king-size bed. The heated timber floors were a nice touch. This hotel is designed for comfort, and I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. The hotel's location is neatly sandwiched between the old and new parts of the town. The hotel itself overlooks the water and is within easy walking distance of everything you could need. A lovely stop over, we only did one night here but I could have stayed forever!! "

"The pictures are a tease. They don’t do this place justice. This house is excellent. The architecture, the views, the property and the infrastructure all work together for a seamless experience. Checkin was painless, the provided instructions thorough, the location impeccable. One of the best VRBO’s we’ve ever rented (and we’ve rented more than a few, all over the planet). If you’re looking for a rental in Akureyri, this should a place you’re definitely looking at. Just not when I’m going. ;-) "
