"The hotel was great, clean, upscale, staff was super friendly and helpful. I loved the location and all of the assistance. The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows were horrible. If I ever stay here again and I do plan to I would bring my own pillows. If it wasn’t for the bed and pillow situation would have been 5 stars "

"The Lord Elgin is perfectly situated within walking distance of so many of Ottawa's best restaurants. We loved the location as well as the grandness of the exterior and lobby areas of the property. The bathroom in our room had been nicely updated while remaining true to the classic architectural style of the heritage building. "

"We had a quick getaway for a weekend in Ottawa and chose The Metcalf Hotel. It was a great choice. The location was walking distance to the major sights and the local area was clean and quiet. Particularly helpful was Patrick the valet. After a long drive, Patrick parked our EV car and fully charged the battery- what a nice touch. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This will be our go to hotel when returning to Ottawa. "

"From our arrival parking was easy and early checkin was a breeze. Our room was on the fourth floor which meant taking the elevator to the third and then stairs to the fourth, not an issue for us as we don’t have mobility issues. The grounds were immaculately kept and there were several lit fire pits upon our arrival, great for sitting with a coffee/cocktail and enjoying the sound of the falls. The hot-tub offered excellent views day or night. Our dinner at the bistro was excellent, limited options but excellent. The games area was phenomenal, velvet couches, stone double sided wood burning fireplace capped off the ambiance."

"I’ve stayed at the Andaz many times when visiting Ottawa, each stay equally wonderful. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms are stocked with premium full sized toiletries. Both the restaurant and bar are terrific and must-do stops on any trip to Ottawa, whether staying as a guest at Andaz or not. "
