"We booked a stay at the hotel as well as dinner at Zoe’s which is a restaurant located within the hotel. Upon checking in the staff noticed we were celebrating a birthday that evening and provided us with complementary drink or dessert ballets for my whole party. It was greatly appreciated and unexpected. Added to the whole great hospitality experience. Will definitely be back!"

"Easy walk to the canal for skating, great downtown location. Parking is a little inconvenient as there is only valet unless you want to park offsite. If you don’t plan on using your car, it’s fine. Otherwise, you need to plan ahead "

"Everything was wonderful! So much to do in the hotel. Was just a bit disappointed that there was not an outdoors skating rink as that was one of the main reason I chose this hotel . Maybe take that out of the advertisement as I packed all outdoors clothing and skates. "

"The Metcalfe Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. I loved the welcoming lobby with natural light coming from the skylight and the wood book shelves adding to the ambiance. The menu at Cocotte was excellent. The restaurant and hotel staff were all friendly and professional. My room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. I look forward to returning to this downtown Ottawa gem of a hotel."
