"Overall I'd give 4.5 stars. Great location if you want to be close to the National Park. I received a free upgrade to the king room on the ground floor, but there was a persistent musty smell, similar to a gym locker. The dehumidifier in the room would not work, despite the instructions to juggle the tank until the light turns off. I suspect this is the cause of the smell. "We’ve stayed in the Volcano area three times and this was the best accommodation by far. Check-in was flawless and our room was clean, large, and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything. There was a mini-fridge with freezer and a microwave. There were also a few necessary cups, dishes, silverware and glassware. This is SO important in Volcano, as there are so few dining options. If you bring a well-stocked cooler, you could spend several days here comfortably. We would stay here...

"This room is in a large 2-story house converted for purposes of rental. I believe there were 5 or 6 rooms total. It was a nice room with a jetted tub with a hand held shower wand, separate toilet and sink, and an alcove that had a small fridge and microwave. It was nice that there were some snacks and fresh fruit provided. The reason we chose it was it's proximity to Volcano National Park. It was a nice place for the single night we stayed."
